Ok, I am not a LONG time member and I have scrolled through the pages for this thread but I wanted to share my thought and maybe enlighten the OP.

It seems to me that she is not seeing the true intent of all the posts, they are not to put her down or beat her up but to help her furbaby.

I think if you are going to post here you have to be willing to take a hit now and then because not everyone is going to say what you want to hear and to be honest there are an awful lot of members here with experience that we/I cant compare to. I look to their replies for guidence.

I know that allot of member are friends but it seems to me that the true gift of this group is helping protect our babies. Im gonna share a quick story.

I posted a thread about training Charlie cause I thought he was to old to be trained. turned out he not to old but to spoiled Now there were posts there that were hard to hear but in after thought were true. Now due to the posts I am working on my part in training Charlie but only becuase of the advise I was given.

So I urge the OP to take the advise given here seriously, do not take it as a personal attack and remember the goal of the group is to learn from each other.

I was young and didnt know any better (maybe 19-20) and definatley didnt know anthing about breeding dogs and having a litter of pups. we lived in the mountians and the only vet around was a horse dr. i came home one day to find that my 6 month old female heeler who was in heat (in my fenced yard) had a male from a neighbor down the road tied to her.he had some how gotten in the fence. while she probably weighed 30 pounds and he was probably 50 pds, i didnt know there would be a problem if she did get pregnant. well she did. so about 60 days later she went into labor--i called the vets office and they said just watch her, she will be fine. 3 hours of heavy contractions i had to help get the first pup out, 3 more hours of heavy contractions the 2nd pup wasnt comming--i called the vet--they said she will be fine, just takes time. 2 more hours go by--the pup born dead.this was in the afternoon. heavy contractions went on all evening and no more pups were comming. i knew somthing wasnt right and she was having alot of trouble-i called the vet again, and asked if i could bring her in--they said she will be fine and if she hadnt had the rest of the pups by morning to bring her in. she cried all night and was in pain. i called them back and told them she was crying and nothing was happening--they said it was because se was young dog, and she will be fine. my beloved dog died that night in my arms with puppies still in her and i was left with 1 to raise ( a HUGE job in its self) i rased the pup and he was like having a real baby in the house-maybe more work than a real baby= i tell you this story because i wouldnt want this to happen to you. i was young, didnt know any better and had no one to tell me what to do. i only wish i had experienced people to guide me. dont rely on vets that dont know the breed. there was only 1 thing that suffered that night and that was my dog. and it all could have been avioded if i had her spayed early on the pregnancy. (spayed period) that was 25 years ago and her cries, and her death still haunt me. her death taught me a hard lesson.
Do you really want something like this possibly happen to BEE?

Wow!!! What an experience to go through. This is such a very powerful story. I hope the OP reads this - because if this doesn't convince her - then nothing will.

one should put there pets threw on the- "she should be fine" assumption. what i went thru that night with my girl was horrible----BUT- its NOTHING compared to what she went thru. While not all litters may result in the same situation that happened to me--its a risk that should never be taken, knowing that its a possibilty. I am such a worry wort when it comes to my furkids now. And having her spayed now is a risk i would take in a heartbeat if i knew i could avoid her possibly suffering.
I only wanted to share this-in hopes no-one else goes threw this or puts there furkids this this. Trust me--the guilt of something happening is not what you dont want to live with if it does.

Lauren, I know you are still reading these posts. Please take this story to heart. Bee is COUNTING on you to look out for her. This all just breaks my heart.

I sure wish each of us YT's could have 5 minutes alone with that vet!!! Your baby's life could probably have been saved at several junctures had he cared.

Your story just made me cry. If after reading this she still does nothing then their is no hope. I'm still looking to see if she took care of her girl, does anyone know?

That is such a painful experience to go through and so sad to write I am guessing. Thank you for putting it out there for Loren and others to read at a later date.

This is so sad that Loren has made this about her and not about Bee. I just pray that she does the right thing for the dog, the dog that she says she loves.

we were friends on here but she's ignoring me too...very very hurt by the whole thing and never thought she was the type to act this way

Wow, I just read every post I am so sad for that poor girl.. hey mama,can you update us, I been away with my business and just loged in,so sorry this happen to your girl, any news,did you get her spayed? you have gotten excellent advise here and I really did not read nothing harsh or offending, please take a minute and let us know what is going on..
