| I really hope she updates us on Beyonce. However at this point, I really don't think her concern is about Bee

| I'm honestly afraid to keep checking up on this thread. I'm terrified that she allowed the pregnancy to happen. These type of actions make me think of an ostrich with it's head in the sand.

I think she is not updating us because we didn't agree with her desire to have the puppies. If this is a way to "punish us", I wish she could see that only Bee will be "punished" as she looses the opportunity to get any real concern and help.

| Interesting. Especially since YT gave her really good advice, and wasn't even rude until we were accused of being mean. Oh well. For Bee's sake, I hope everything is going okay.

| Wow!! I think I have typed and retyped this several times trying to contain my true feelings which aren't so pleasant and sticking with the facts. First I was confused whether I was reading the right thread or not as you said people were mean and nasty. I didn't read that at all. Not until you started getting nasty. You have received tons of great advice but you choose to ignore it as you already have your mind made up and anyone who doesn't agree with you is nasty. I hope and pray Bee will be alright but I don't expect her to be. If you truly cared about her you would have done the right thing and got her spayed. I don't believe for a second that you took her to 15 different vets and they all said it was alright for her to be bred to such a bigger dog. A phone call isn't worth anything as they really need to see the size of the dog, size of her hips, uterus, etc. I don't know where in Ohio you live but I can tell you no vet around here would say she would be alright, they would all recommend a spay. Also keep in mind many vets aren't well versed when it comes to toy breeds. Have you even considered that the boy she was bred to is 15lbs but he may get even bigger as he isn't an adult yet. Or did you look into his background. How big were his parents, siblings, grandparents because it is very likely they could have been even bigger than 15lbs which poses an even greater risk for Bee. Or how about the health. If the pups survive what does the future hold for them? Did you do any health testing or any background checks? How do you know that any of the pups will be healthy if they survive? While spaying a 5lb girl holds risk it is much more riskier to let her have these pups. Many 5lbs and even smaller have been spayed/neutered without any problems. Shoot my little Brownie who is only 3.5lbs had to undergo a dangerous and complicated surgery for his leg when he broke it and he still came out alright. I am fairly new to breeding (4 years) but I went into it with an open mind and tons and tons of research. I researched for years before I even attempted my first litter. I accepted the criticism I got and learned from it. My girls are very special to me and I love them dearly and I try to put them at as little risk as possible. But you can never know the outcome. Just do a search on here and you will see tons of threads with yorkies having such difficulties with litters with even small males!! My Destiny was my first girl to breed. She is my heart and soul and I couldn't stand it if something happened to her. Destiny is 5lbs. Last year she was bred with a male that was only 3lbs and also comes from a small background. Everything was going well into she went into labor. She spent many hours in labor. When the time came and she started to push she was tired and this puppy was bigger (only 1oz bigger). The puppy ended up getting stuck and she just couldn't push her any further. I could see the puppy's feet turning blue from lack of oxygen. I couldn't stand around and just watch I had to intervene. I had to pull the puppy out. Luckily I was able to pull the puppy out. The puppy miraculously survived. Had I not intervened I would have lost both the puppy and mom. After that I immediately rushed her to the vet where she had to be given fluids and a shot to give her the strength to push out the other 2 pups. I was very lucky things didn't turn out worse. And this was with a breeding with a small male and small pups!! Now can you imagine the danger if she was bred with a dog twice her size!! Destiny is retired now as I wouldn't risk another litter after that, she is too important to me. Now while I do love breeding, my girls always come first and their safety is top priority. I can tell you without a doubt that if any of my girls were impregnated by a male that was 15lbs I would be rushing to the vet to get her spayed right away. After all I am their owner, it is my job to keep them safe. I truly do hope Bee will be alright. I hope you really trust your vet because you are putting her life on the line, an awful lot to risk if you ask me. She is such a sweet little girl and it is such a shame she has to endure this.

| I wish this person would at least have the decency to update us on her girl, good or bad. Prayers continuing for this little one. Life isnt fun , nor fair. I too recently had to have my 5 year old "rescue" girl spayed when she was pregnant, but the poor thing had been through too much to lose her. Yes, I did feel horrible killing those poor pups, but I wasnt educated on how to care for them, find them suitable homes, whelping them, etc. so I did what I felt was best. I took the BEST advice from my fellow Yorkietalk members and ran with it, and I look back and look at my girl now, and see that what I decided was a GREAT decision for her. She now has LIFE to her eyes, and she knows she has a home with me forever , and she will NEVER be bred again..Sorry thats my rant for the day...
