As for the groomer being at fault, I will continue to have to beg to differ with you. Any owner who has an intact male or female is ultimately responsible for the dog's reproductive life. It's an easy fix, if you don't want to breed (responsibly) then spay/neuter. If you do plan on breeding, then you don't take that dog any where that an unplanned breeding can occur. There is no such thing as an "accident", there is only failure to plan properly. Ultimately, it was the owner's decision to leave the dog while she was in heat with someone else. I don't think it's reasonable to assume that someone else will watch the dog as closely as you do.

Thank you for the scolding, however if admin wishes to chastise me then that is fine. However I don't think you are a mod am I correct? I wasn't telling her not to post I am only saying it is better to helpful or say nothing at all.

What she was saying was the truth everyone on here has the right to post not just you and those you happen to agree with. It is a discussion forum

What is important to remember is we all have the right to voice our opinion. If we see something we feel is wrong we must/should say something so the others who are reading this thread will also learn. If we don't say anything we are accepting or condoning something we think is wrong. I agree how it is said is important too.

The op had a situation that if she could go back in time would be different. We all can go hmmm how could it have been different, thus putting out information that could help others who are reading this.
If I ever have female who is in heat I now KNOW not to even THINK about taking her out... lesson learned from the op. I thank the op for sharing this info.

I am also glad.. when all is said and done.. it appears because the op has made the decision to have the pups she is taking steps to help her female. That is really what is MOST important now.

It is important to remain objective and not take things that are posted on here personally. There are going to be people who post on here that you like or dislike and they all have the right to post. You may agree with them or not. They may even be a real jerk but they have the right to post. Like I said its a discussion board and on here you get a wide array of opinions. If you dont agree with someone just post that you dont agree. It is also important because there are tons of people reading so there is an effort to get the most accurate info out there for all

Often times someone will google a problem they are having and end up finding YT. They post here for the first time and get responses that come across pretty harsh. This often scares them away as they come here for help but instead get chastised. I hope we all feel that this is not what we want. This site offers a wealth of information from experienced owners. I see nothing wrong with educating in a way that comes across as helpful. If they feel like they are being put down personally, they won't stay. Keep in mind that there is a furbaby that can only benefit from an educated owner. Please respond in such a way that will keep these newbies wanting to come back without being afraid of what they will read.

The problem is someone will be educating in a way that is helpful and something that needed to be said and they will be called rude. It is a forum and none of us can control how someone posts thats why we should remain objective. Anyone coming to a forum for help should know they could get a wide array of opinions. If everyone posted in the same way on here this forum would be very mundane and boring

No, I'm not a mod. I wouldn't want Wylie's mom job here (some days I wonder how she can keep her sanity and sense of humor). However, when you tell someone not to post because YOU don't think the information is helpful then you are censoring others opinions. Obviously what you find helpful and what I find helpful are two different things. Thankfully, YT allows ALL of us to express those thoughts and opinions (whether we find them helpful or not) because the mods and admin are aware that it's not just the OP reading the responses, but others as well who will take what they need from each thread.
