Even if you are a seasoned member you can learn something new. I understand where you are coming from. It can be a scary experience. I hated the way this thread turned out but in the beginning the posts gave me enough courage to stand up to my breeder and come across clear to her. Still didnt turn out just right but, thats neither here nor there. Just know that what is most important is your furbutt and stick with that. Even if it means you get a few bad posts. You will become a better mommy for it! I have to befriend you now! We can keep an eye on each other!

| It appears to me that the postings that create the most conflict are the ones dealing with breeders. Now that you have your puppy, avoid those threads and all will be better. I have found some wonderful information and fun threads here on Yorkie Talk and am so thankful I found this forum. Until coming here, I knew nothing about the breed or how to get one "the right way." I just knew I wanted a little dog that didn't shed or make me sneeze. Yorkies are adorable and fit my criteria. I first tried to adopt one, but was never able to get one before they were adopted by someone else. I became impatient and ended up getting my Brandy from an ad in my local paper. I never saw her home, I picked her up at a grocery store parking lot when she was only 8 weeks old. At the time, I saw nothing wrong with how I came to be her owner. If I were to do it again, now that I have been on Yorkie Talk, I would do everything differently. But, I do feel so fortunate that Brandy is mine. I have had her for just over a year and she is the light of my life. I am officially a crazy Yorkie lady. I am sure you will, if not already do, feel the same way. Check out the Valentine's Ball thread. You can't help but smile as you read the invites sent between the Yorkies. Also view the actual Valentine's Ball posting. These threads have been the highlight of experience on Yorkie Talk. Stay, read, learn and enjoy. |

| Congradulations on your new yorkie pup I am very glad that he came to you healthy and happy. These new little pups are a lot like human babies. I am sure you have your hands full. I am glad that tings worked out for you and the pup in the long run. I think it would be very difficult to try and communicate through emails and phone calls... Before buying a pup. IMO, it would be scary to buy a puppy without metting the breeder and littler mates, and talking to the breeder face to face . That part makes me personally very uncomfortable. I think misunderstandings and unanswered calls or emails can be misunderstood easily. However everything worked out great for you and your new puppy is in his new home , happy, healthy and full of joy. that is the most important part. Congradulations !

| Umm, how do ya do this whatchamacallit? Tried photobucket and still says that this is too large. Is there anyone who would be willing to allow me to send the pictures via email or give you the photobucket login info. Or could I just link it to the photobucket page. Help LOL. This is my first forum so it's kinda foreign to me. FB is a whole lot easier.

Anyway, here is what I do: In iPhoto select the picture you want to upload. Go to File and select Export On the window that pops up: Kind: JPEG JPEG Quality: Medium Size: Custom --> Max Dimension of 400 px File Name: Use filename Export Next you select where you want to export the file to. I made an "exported pictures" file in my documents to put the photos, but the easiest thing to do is export them to your desktop. Once you have exported the picture you can now use the upload feature here to post the picture. Make sure you choose the exported copy of the photo from its new location and not the photo from iPhotos. If it says its still to big then change the "400" to something a little smaller. Once you get the hang of it you can play around with the size and quality of the picture. Hope that helps! PS: Congrats on the puppy!!

| The photo needs to be 200 kb or less. I had a lot of trouble with this when I first started but I just resize in my photo processing software. I hope we can get this figured out for you so that you can post your photos of your baby.

If it isn't true and she's using that as an excuse to all your calls/emails you need to question why. If you've been involved with the breeder and pup since it was days old and it's now due to come home it sounds like you may have inundated her with calls/emails --- give her a break. What else is there you need to know at this point? At this point you need to get the puppy home and then make a list of any new questions and email them to her. Long distance is expensive - which is another thing you should respect about her. Email her and ask when would be a convenient time for you to call her (your dime).
