All of us need more compassion and not just to Yorkies. Show compassion to everyone. Please don't use this thread as your rant thread.... It is also a reminder of what Not to be....so don't go there. Live with a happy heart! :) |

I just said find it in your heart to show some compassion to people. If you feel you one of those people that might need some fine..if not ignore the thread. I am not pointing at anyone. Take it as you feel in your heart. Its Christmas time. The most special time of the year. |
It is a time to let go of the anger and start fresh. Carrying it around with you is not going to change a thing. Let it go, take a deep breath and put a smile on your face. :) sing a happy song, You can't be angry when you are smiling and singing. It's impossible. There see now don't you feel better. :D |

Deep breaths do wonders, letting go is powerful, singing to music can change a very bad day to the best of days. |

I think it is time to post my Christmas Poem. I Think About Christmas Some folks are known, for their great decorations, And others are famous, for cooking creations. I’m lousy at cooking, don’t like decorating, but give me some words, and my mind starts creating. It cannot be forced, it just takes some time Then all of a sudden, I’m thinking in rhyme What should I write about, I start to ponder I lose my focus, my mind starts to wander I think about cooking, and shopping, and trees I think about snow and the cold winter breeze I think about credit cards, paying the bills I think of the poor who are hungry or ill I think about people, the young and the old I think of warm fires, I think of the cold I think about turkeys and warm apple pie, My parents, and siblings, and days gone by I think of those presents stacked under the tree I think of the season and how it should be I think about friends and I think about strangers I think about kings, and a babe, in a manger The shepherds, the angels, a star in the sky, The reason he lived and the reason he died The greatest of gifts, The Grace of Our Lord A gift that is greater than man can afford Talk to your children, who giggle with glee Anticipating what’s under the tree Don’t let ol’ Santa Clause, take all the glory Remember to tell them, the real Christmas story Treasure your family and those you hold dear Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year Jeanie Knapp December 2010 |

Great poem, it's just lovely :). |
As a relative Newbie I have been lurking in the shadows also. I have posted a few questions and have received great feedback. I also have read some posts where the feedback was humilitating. I joined this forum because I love my Yorkie and I thought everyone else on this forum felt the same way about their Yorkie(s). I am not a breeder or groomer, only someone that loves their Yorkie puppy to death and would do anything to provide her with the life she deserves. I have found from experience when you post something in writing you can sometimes lose the translation to what was meant to be said. When you can't see the person's facial expressions or body language or hear the tone which something is said, a friendly message could be translated into something other than what it was meant to be. Thank you for providing a great place for getting support and answers to questions. I have found the majority of people on this forum have a great deal of knowledge to share. I wish they would share it wisely and be honored that Newbies like myself look up to them as a sounding board. |

Can we please quit lecturing each other, let the threads from yesterday die and enjoy the Christmas season. It seems like some people just want to keep it going and I dont blame people for getting irritated. Peace to all |

I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christams |
I think if everyone remembers the GOLDEN RULE,,,Then all will be fine. I know I try very hard to treat people as I want to be treated. My Grand father was a firm believer in this and he taught all of us that it is the only way to be. I love YT and everyone has always been so helpful to me and no one or nothing can make me leave here. I think everyone gets upset from time to time but we can all just take the time, count to ten, and then post a reply. Hope everyone has a safe holiday season. My babies are spoiled :littleangRIP Sophie Lynn Mommy loves and misses you |

This thread is about compassion and the last few is about trying harder this week to try to share Christmas cheer. Nothing more |
Then how about starting a new thread, just for Christmas cheer? |

I just wish to thank everyone on YT who's compassion and knowledge have helped Buster and I and many a member through a crisis with information or just a kind word. I feel sometimes things get heated because people care so much about their Yorkies. They read or learned through experience what they feel is the best approach. They offer advice with the best interest of the animal in mind. Sometimes we do not realize what we learned is not the best thing and do need to be educated by someone who had read more, learned more, or experienced more. You can disagree with a thought or an action without demeaning someone. I have learned so much from members here. I truly appreciate this site and all the wonderful people on it. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Yorkie Year |
