I agree with your highlights. thanks for posting this. I've seen outright nasty statements made and they aren't deleted or the person suspended or banned. Very discouraging. OOPS...I meant to agree with Cj125's longer post with the highlights of Quicksilver etc.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Do any of you really think that you could do a better job than Ann? It's hard enough to be a moderator, and have to settle all these piddly disputes, but then to have all you decisions questioned and criticized, it's a wonder we can keep Ann here. Do you realize this is an unpaid job? She volunteers her time because she loves dogs. If anyone should be complaining, it's Ann. I find some of these criticisms very unsettling. Ann said she would be willing to answer your questions privately, but to question her decisions on the open forum is NOT a good thing for Yorkietalk.

remember back in the day when we had a few mods who were here a lot of the time? now we only have Ann and she has to keep up with all that goes on here. Give her a break. I think she does a wonderful job. if you have a problem with Ann or admin then i suggest you PM them and discuss it. Don't complain about the way things are done or question her decisions in public. it makes you look rude and ungrateful of all the things they both do to keep this site up and running.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I apologize for sounding like a broken record, but...for those still wondering how decisions are made here, please read Post #1. For those who have the ability to apply rules and make 63,000+ humans satisfied at the same time, you have my heartfelt admiration (seriously, you do). P.S. After any decision is made here, Admin and/or me may receive 10+ different PMs stating an opinion of what should have been done. So, I wonder what each of those 10 people would think of the other 10 folks' perception of what should have been done. And also, who is most correct, btw? Thanks for the kind words and support from those who make YT such a wonderful place! You make me smile, as I am right now !

| I think Ann's job is hard enough. Imagine how many threads are started, updated, and the number of posts that go on YT everyday. I don't think one person can or will see every snarky, mean spirited, or rule breaking post. If there is something you see that you feel is breaking YT rules, it is then your responsibility to report it. If you sit around and hope Ann or Admin happens to see it, nothing is going to change. After that it is in Admins/mods hands how they handle the situation. If you report something and nothing happens, please go on with your day and don't let something on an online forum ruin everything for you. I think it's our job as a community to bring attention to these things instead of complaining about them. We have a part in this community too.

| I have been a member for a couple of years. While I haven't posted much, I have gained a lot of useful info from this site. I appreciate its' existence and am very grateful to the people who keep it going. I have noticed some of the "drama" and perhaps that is what has kept me from being more active. I just wanted to say thank-you for making this site a much needed resource for myself and many others, and keeping the "drama" in check. You have a very hard job and you are doing it well

Thor's Human Donating Member | Could I do a better job than Ann? Probably not. But this is really not a good criterion for anyone's position. Could you do a better job than the President? Your dentist? Your bus driver? At the same time, that doesn't mean you must support everything they do without question. Let me say again, I truly love and admire Ann. From what I know of her online, she is a terrific person, and I'm very greatful that she's here. I do not expect to agree with everything she does, and I don't expect to. That would be an impossible standard. At the same time, I see some things here that truly bother me. When I started off here, sometimes I would see an argument go further than I thought it should or something, and thought, well, that's the moderation style, I can accept it. I now feel that there are some things that really don't seem right and so I've spoken up. If the mods and admin take my opinion into account, great. I would not expect that my voice thunders across YT, but if enough reasonable people start saying the same thing, maybe we can get a change. I can also accept that maybe that won't happen, which is certainly YT's perogative.
