The YTCA also posts this: The AKC Breed Standard and YTCA Code of Ethics do not recognize any other color dogs than noted above. This includes all gold, born blue, liver (also known as red or chocolate), and parti-colors. |

Misty didn't put the link to the YTCA in her post to begin with. WHY? Because it doesn't belong there. She didn't even think to put it there. It wasn't until you came along and felt this topic needed to be livened up. And you were right on cue too. Good job!! |

:scratchhe After reading that...could someone please tell me again why they should be linked in a thread concerning the differences between the parti and Biewer? As you can plainly see..they do not reconize them...so they are NOT the parent club of either. IMO..case closed. |

I think you are misinterpreting the term "recognize" as used by the YTCA. They aren't saying that Parti's don't exist, just that they are not recognized as defined by Merriam-Webster: Main Entry: rec·og·nize Pronunciation: \ˈre-kig-ˌnīz, -kəg-\ Function: transitive verb Inflected Form(s): rec·og·nized; rec·og·niz·ing Etymology: modification of Anglo-French reconois-, stem of reconoistre, from Latin recognoscere, from re- + cognoscere to know — more at cognition Date: circa 1532 1 : to acknowledge formally 2: to admit as being of a particular status Recognize - Definition and More from the Free Merriam-Webster Dictionary |

Nancy1999 you can preach all you want concerning how wonderful and reputable the ytca is and the members of the ytca. I will listen when you have proof of all the ytca members breeding to the standard and not selling yorkshire terrier who do not meet the standard and have health issues with full breeding rights. |

However, I agree that the YTCA site should not be listed. It has nothing to do with the topic of this thread. |

And no..Misty didn't put any links. But I did..but only ones that truly should be there. And the concenus was to join the two posts. You still haven't answered why the YTCA should be linked in a thread concerning two dogs it does not reconize nor parent. This thread was not about the politics of breeding the parti yorkie. But you have been allowed to take it that way...as usual. |
The original question was asked "what is the difference between a parti and a biewer". I agree with Karen...a tail...the rest is politics. |
Oh...way to go Ann! LOL :D:D:D I do not understand why the YTCA site can't be listed...aren't they Yorkies too? This would help someone looking for information to see the entire picture about Yorkies and these variety breeds. |

It's important to keep in mind that the AKC registers parti's as Yorkshire Terriers. Given that, I can't see how you can argue that parti's are not affiliated with the YTCA.:confused: As long as the YTCA is the official breed club for Yorkies and sets the standard, links to their website regarding parti Yorkies must be included in an educational sticky pinned in the Library. |
