				   | My girlfriend's daughter got a miniature dachsund, we had a big campout, she with note of slight disdain commented on my girl's wardrobe (it was a fall event and they required warm clothes), she is a lovely girl and tempered her comments. She noted that she would never dress her dog. LOL, I hear from her mother that her little boy now has a fishing vest, jammies, sweaters, the whole smash... She kinda thought all the clothes mine had were cute after all... so sometimes what they say really isn't what they mean.

However, he 99.9% of the time only wears them when it is really cold outside, all spring and summer and most of Fall, he is always neekkid. The other .1% is for holidays. Even if I had a girl, I just don't do the dress thing. I think the babies look adorable in them for pictures and stuff. The other day at the dog park, a woman with her little yorkie placed a hat on his head and a shirt as they exited the park (it was like 80 degrees), I'm gonna be totally upfront and honest and say I laughed to myself... BUT I would NEVER say something to anybody and I keep my thoughts to myself! It's her life and her dog and I don't really care what she does with him.

				   | So true what other posters have said about some people not knowing how to keep their comments to themselves. I usually dont like the look of dog clothes, and don't use them except when its cold out. But that is a personal preference I would never insult someone who chose to dress up their dog; plus clothes make it easier to track your Yorkie at a meetup with a tangle of black n' tan! I also think there could be some benefit to avoiding sun burn for dogs with thinner hair, or wearing hats to prevent as much sun from getting in their eyes. I personally don't put dresses on my dogs because I don't prefer them and they don't like it, but that is my personal opinion and I get a kick out of some of the little gear that I see. I have occassionally done something cute for a picture. It isn't my business what you do with your dog as long as you are not abusing them and I don't think that is considered abuse! ![]() So if you come up to me being rude you will most likely get my version of "it's none of your business, get your own life".

				   | Funny, I cruise around every day with my 3 kids (ages 4-7)and 3 dogs (2 yorkies and a pug). The whole crew is always dressed nice and perfectly behaved (except my pug dog doesn't wear clothes, but she does ride in the stroller because she's disabled). Noone ever says anything negative, not in front of me anyways.

| ☺Farrah☺ Donating Member | I have a million come backs...and none of them are nice. But the older I get the more I realize that people like that won't change no matter what you say. (too dumb to learn) LOL
