Keep your chin up, you've got sightings, that's great :) |
I just read the #1 way of finding a dog is putting flyers in cars and neighbors mail boxes. It's also suggested that you put a bowl of food out on your property, although I could see that attracting other animals as well. |

great ideas to put the fliers in peoples mail boxes; or even outside their doors. and the food bowl is worth a try. put it out everyday. best of luck hope he comes back soon |
Also ask you postal carrier! Maybe offer a personal reward. |
Ya. I do put food out, his favorite, and it does get eaten, but i'm thinking it's probably the cats. |
I'm going to the pound sometime today. My neighborhood seen animal control in the area yesterday. |

Have you filled out this form? http://www.petharbor.com/webform_pet...OG&reqtype=dog |
Oh ya... The lady from the pet detective website told me that %80 of "sitings" of your pet when you are searching are of another animal. Which is why I have that line up. Although the kid yesterday did point him out. He said he didn't remember his fir having black in it. But some days it does look more brownn that anything and others it shows the black better |

Put the food out and when you cannot watch it put a video camera facing the bowl through the window (if possible). That way you can see if he is coming to eat or not. And maybe see a pattern of the time. If that is him running around then I bet he is getting food and water from somewhere, and found a warm place to sleep, under a porch, etc.. This boy is street wise no doubt. It was the same way he came to be with you, so he was already probably a wanderer and while that makes it harder to catch/find the little booger, it also helps him stay alive. It wouldn't surprise me if he was sleeping right under your nose, can he get in the back yard? I would leave it so he can and put some food there too with a bed. I still have a good feeling he will find his way back. |
Ok, since there have been sightings of Ben still in the neighborhood, what about going for that type of Pet Calling Service. I am sure there are a bunch of them, but they call the houses in your zipcode with the Lost Dog ID, etc... Here's a few them: https://www.findtoto.com/lost-dog.html Lost My Doggie - Our Missing Pet Recovery Service will Help Find Your Lost Dog, Lost Cat or Missing Pet |
This shelter is very close to my home. I'll be going today. His hair isnt in his face usually like that, but pictures can be deceiving. Do you think???? >>>>> Adoptable Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie: 10-27049: Petfinder |
