Sweetie, I can imagine how much this hurts you, but it's for the best interest of the puppy. I imagine your heart is breaking in two right now. Remember, we are all here if you need to talk. You've certainly been through a rough time and it seems like you had no one working to help you. I'm sorry about that. We are always here if you need us.

Just read after my post that YTNR is going to take him....

That is great as we would have taken him in but we are not as close..

I am so sorry you are going through all of this.... my thoughts are with you....

I just spoke with Charlie as she had completed a surrender form on the YHR site. She did hear back from YTNR and is going to surrender Piper to them!
Charlie, I am so sorry for what you have gone through....thank you for loving Piper so much and getting help for him!

This is really the most unselfish thing you could do by giving him to a rescue. You are putting your baby above yourself!! That is WONDERFUL!!!!

It is very obvious how much you love your little boy. I am truly sorry that you have have had such heartbreak with both of your little ones. You have my deepest respect for forsaking your own needs by giving Piper the gift of live and health. It is a great sacrifice but it is done with tremendous love.

Agree- you are showing the deepest love of all to Piper. I know how it feels- worried a few times with care of Ellie- I had a back up in place if i couldnt do it. You have already experienced huge cost and sad loss with Hootie. I promise YTHR will give Piper best of medical care. Please know you are doing the most selfless loving thing ever. We pray for you too for peace and for a healthy puppy to come into your life when it is time. Please be at peace.

Extazz, I feel so bad for you, I really do and I'm so sorry Piper is so seriously ill on top of your losing Hootie and your job. My heart just goes out to you. Things WILL turn around for you and a happy, healthy little yorkie will be in your future, I am sure. I really admire that you are thinking of Piper and doing what you can for him.

Piper is gone. I just handed him over to the Rescue Agency and he is going to be heading to Indianna (I think) either tonight or tomorrow depending on the weather. They have a surgeon there that will take new x-rays and then perform the surgery (maybe on Monday??). From there the Pipster will be in Physical Therapy for several months and once he is 100 percent back, he will be adopted out. He will have a web page so I can keep track of his progress and see pics of him! I realize this was the best thing in the world that could happen to him but walking in the door a few minutes ago and not seeing him is killing me. I keep telling myself I did the right thing (and I know I did) but the pain is SOOO difficult.

Walking from room to room in an empty house...it's just bad!

I will let you all know when his web page is up so you can all follow along with me!

You have given Piper the gift of life...bless your heart. I am so sorry you had to go through this...once was bad enough, but twice is just so hard to imagine.
I will pray for you and know that in time the wound will get better.
YTNR will take excellent care of little Piper. Prayers for him that his surgery and recovery will go well.

My prayers are with you and your little boy. What you did for Piper took great strength, courage, and love. I hope your heart heals in time and that Piper's body is able to heal with his surgery. I understand how lost you are feeling without him, but because of your love and devotion, Piper will be given the very best of care. I'm so sorry that you this is so painful for you; you are a wonderful mom, and I hope you will have a healthy baby in your life in the future. Your life is forever changed because of loving your precious little boy, and there will always be a special place in your heart reserved especially for him..

I feel your pain. It isn't fair what that breeder did to you or what she has done to breed all of these sick puppies. I have tears in my eyes now. I really can imagine how hurtful it is and how it feels to walk into the house and not see him there. You said that no one can love him like you can. That's true. But he'll be very loved and very well cared for. I just hope you can heal from this hurt. I would love to know when he is posted on the website. I have the site saved on my desktop. I visit it a lot. It would be nice to follow his journey. Please take care of yourself. I wish nothing but the best for you. I hope a job and wonderful things come to you. You certainly deserve it!

I admire your courage ~ I'm sure that was a very difficult thing to do; but you just gave him the best chance he has. Reading your post brought tears to my eyes. I hope one day you will have a healthy, happy little yorkie.
