Yorkie Yakker | ![]() This is my second puppy from this same breeder. I got my little Hootie a year and a half ago. He had to have Liver Shunt surgery which I PAID for! He died the day after surgery from complications. I contacted the breeder and her reply was no refund only replacement pup so now I have Piper. And now he needs surgery, problem this time is I cannot afford it (am laid off from good job) so have applied to several online Vet Bill assistance organizations and have been turned down by all. I also do not qualify for CareCredit (not working) and I have ALSO contacted SEVERAL Rescue Organizations as I "will" give Piper up if they can give him medical treatment as much as I don't want to! I will do whats best for Piper. But so far none have contacted me! I did contact the breeder and again she told me no refunds and to do whatever I feel is necessary for the pup. So, here I am. I did take him to my vet, he was on steroids and 2 other meds for a while but then was sent to specialist in Nashville, another $300 for x-rays and diagnosis. Dr House advised a collar would not benefit him at this time and that he needed surgery ASAP. So I am doing all I can !! ![]()

It is the hardest thing in the world to have to decide to give up your baby, but sometimes it's the right thing to do. If you really don't want to part with the pup, have you considered care credit? It will be a bit more expensive, but Piper needs the help. Those are your only 2 valid options. Seek a credit card or care credit so you can pay for his vet bills, or surrender him to a rescue.

| ![]() I am sorry if I sounded harsh, that wasn't my intention... This breeder is horrible and ridiculous...sending you two sick pups and now saying you are on your own...horrible, horrible... I see that you have been emailing some rescues, but perhaps maybe calling them would be better? As mentioned above, time is critical ![]() |

| ![]() I am so sorry you are having to deal with another very ill puppy. It just doesn't seem fair after what you went through with your first puppy. I pray that you will hear back from a rescue that can take him in. Shame on the breeder for doing this to you again; sending you another heartbreak. My thoughts are with you.

I believe that these are the folks that are gonna take him!! ![]() I have already received 2 emails from them! They said they would take him and that they have a surgeon and therapist that work with this type of illness. Just wish I could get him back after I surrender him as NO ONE could love him like I do!! I love him enough to let him go! ![]()

| ![]() Just reading this thread now.... Yorkies Inc would take him if you were able to get him up here.... we are located in New England....so not sure if that is a posibility We would pay for his air fare to ride under your seat, but you would have to pay for your own airfare...as we cannot pay for you to fly here or maybe you could drive him up...but it would be a bit of a ride..... We would want all his vet records faxed up here before he arrived...so he would be able to go straight to the vets..... Is there a phone number or contact person the the TN rescue (Yorkshire Terrier National Rescue) ? As they make the most sense to take him into their rescue and he could have surgery right there... What about UYR (United Yorkie Rescue) they are a national group... Yorkies Inc is a small New England base rescue but we have never refused a special needs pup before and do not want to now... however we are not close....
