Piper is gone. I just handed him over to the Rescue Agency and he is going to be heading to Indianna (I think) either tonight or tomorrow depending on the weather. They have a surgeon there that will take new x-rays and then perform the surgery (maybe on Monday??). From there the Pipster will be in Physical Therapy for several months and once he is 100 percent back, he will be adopted out. He will have a web page so I can keep track of his progress and see pics of him! I realize this was the best thing in the world that could happen to him but walking in the door a few minutes ago and not seeing him is killing me. I keep telling myself I did the right thing (and I know I did) but the pain is SOOO difficult.
Walking from room to room in an empty house...it's just bad!
