| ![]() I brought my first yorkie home at 8 weeks old, Gigio sleep with me I did feed her very two hours made sure she had water and that was also all day because she had very low blood sugar. I like the idea of the crate with you in the bed. Petsmart has a bone with a sound of a heart beat or the baby store will have something simpler, would also take the furbaby out to a pee pad every time you let the furbaby out of the crate. having a furbaby this young, I think it needs to be feed very 2 hours. It like having a real baby. the night will go a little longer with the furbaby, so feeding will go longing. it take time. good luck ![]()

It is best to leave your puppy get used to sleeping alone. When we got Samy he cried like crazy the first night but we kept him outside the bedroom. We did not buy a play pen so he had a run of the room he was sleeping in but he got used to being on his puppy bed. The first week he would whine and cry after we turn off the lights and close the door but then he got used to it. Now when we turn off the light he knows to go to his bed and sleep. He is completely in the dark and does alright on his own. He knows where his pee pad is and his food and water are. He has a big room all to himself with toys and stuff ![]() We decided that we do not want him in the bed because he would get injured either by us or by falling off... also I am allergic to dog's saliva but no allergic reactions yet because I keep him away from my bed. The female yorkie we were taking care of for a period of time would sleep in our bed because this is the way she was used to since she was young and I started having bad allergic reactions.. She would whine and cry if not in bed with us.. so it is really important that your puppy gets used to being on his own when you are not around. It is very important not to pick him up when he cries and not to give in to his crying.

| ![]() It went really well!!! They said he is a very healthy pup ![]() ![]() So should I put him in a kennel next to my bed at night and take him to his pee pads everyday few hours or should i just put him in his playpen for the night???? I am getting mixed answers. Remember everyone he is 7 weeks old. |

I see so many threads by you I'm getting confused but bolded in red where you had it right .... No puppy can make it thru the night at this age so you may as well start getting used to nights being interrupted. Most people don't get much sleep either when getting a puppy especially such a tiny breed | |

| ![]() It is crazy to get a puppy so young... good luck with sleepless nights! And introduce him to other puppies or he will not know how to socialize with them.

| ![]() My Ruby is 7 1/2 weeks old now and she had trouble the first two nights...I have her in my room (my room is her playpen ![]() As for the peeing, I suggest you cover half the room (preferably the carpet half!) with newspapers (or pee-pads) so he gets used to peeing on them etc...mine goes on the newspapers all the time and they're only in one corner of the room! And she's only 7-8 wks old! Good Luck! But I really don't think you should sleeps with him at this age they're so small!!! |

| ![]() Introducing this pup at such a young age without innoculations is a bit risky. This wee one has come with a special set of circumstances. His mother died, so there is a possibility he did not receive mother's immunities, therefore putting him at greater risk.
