![]() ![]() I know you aren't and what you said was fine. I personally couldn't have a carrier OR crate on my bed.....even with my windy post - I would worry about a crate tipping etc....only cause I stomped in here with a long reply I wanted to tell you - I'm seeing BOTH your points - if someone isn't a very very light sleeper a puppy can easily fall off a bed....especially at the age of her puppy.(Lord....coffee gets me chatty in the morning) I should be fixing my big monitor for my 'work' - I have label orders to do and am having trouble seeing what I do on this tiny laptop monitor)

| Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | yup - works like a charm - I admit to being sneaky and using that ploy on my son (to get him up for work) ....I knew there was no way he'd say 'ok, I'm up mom' then roll over and fall back asleep making ME the bad guy bugging him 2 hysterical yorkies barking at the doorbell is a bit too hard to ignore I say hysterical cause that's about how mine are when the doorbell rings - it's pretty ridiculous

| I have a few questions about DJ's vet visit that I do not think have been answered. 1. You said that the vet gave him a clean bill of health. What type of tests did your vet do? Did he get any vaccinations? Did they do a fecal? 2. They sold you a tooth brush? At 6 weeks does he even have teeth to brush? What are you using to brush his teeth? 3. Did the vet confirm that he was only 6 weeks old? Is the picture in your avatar DJ since that puppy looks a little older than the 6 weeks. As for the advice that you have been given~you said in past threads that you blocked but some of the very best advice that you were given came from VERY experienced breeder/members of YT. I surely hope that you are able to read, learn and take their advice for DJ's well being. If I were in your shoes I would not only be posting my questions on the open forum but PMing them for any and all additional advice they would be willing to offer you now that you have him home.

Look I'm not going to argue this point. It is my opinion that the puppy would be just fine if he were in a crate on a table by the bed so he couldn't roll or get kicked off the bed. He would still be eye height and you could keep a good eye on him all night. And don't be ridiculous I wasn't implying that a "human" baby would go into a dog crate. But it would be just as foolish in my opinion to put the baby on the bed in ANY carrier, because it could get hurt. __________________________________________________ _____ __________________________________________________ _____ May I interject something...jmdt did not call you foolish. She stated that the act of putting a baby on the bed in any type of carrier was foolish, not you. NatNatt posted on anothet thread that she got it all worked out , and actually had a good night sleep.

| Thank you, Princes Mom, for letting us know about the other thread. I was wondering what had happened last night and didn't realize that she had started another thread. I assumed she would update back on this thread. I hope she comes back and let's us know what the vet said. I'm curious. |

| It's kinda funny...I was wondering the same thing.....Do DJ even have teeth yet to be brushed??!! Also, if I was that vet I would have a few concerns about how someone soooo inexperienced come to aquire a puppy from sooo far away soooo young??!! Just wonderin'.......lol

| This is a western belief. On the other side if the globe family sleeping is the norm, it is considered essential. Here in North America, we for some strange reason feel it perfectly ok to carry an infant in our belly's for 9 months then tear them from us and stick them in a room down the hall.
