I was the one who called Stephanie and inquired about the puppies on puppy find. As I stated in the other thread, she seemed VERY involved and gave me no reason to think she wasn't. If she wasn't, why not list her sister or her boyfriend's number or email on puppyfind (like she did Angela), instead of her own? Anyway, she answered all my questions and even offered additional information. For instance, (this is not word for word) I asked her how old the puppies were, when they were would be ready, etc... and she said that they were eating really well at 3 or so weeks and they are going to wait another 3 weeks or so. She said SHE would give them their first shot around then and then they would be leaving at 6-7 weeks.... also said they would be 6-8lb full grown, etc etc. She knew a LOT about the puppies to not be involved. If she does not agree to what she told me on the phone, then she should have no part in selling the puppies. No one can FORCE you to do something that you, yourself feels unethical. And IMO, if you are having prospective puppy buyers calling you to get more information, then you are VERY involved.

I also, for clarification, asked if she had any other mixed breeds (morkies, yorkipoos) and she said "no". She said that she just bred Yorkies. That's when she went to explain it was her sister's boyfriend's dog (mini schnauzer, 12lbs) but again, never mentioned accident and from the way she said it and from what a buyer standpoint I guess would assume (with the tone, wording, etc) it was something that was planned... I am NOT saying it was 100% planned (gosh, don't freakin' sue me, how childish)... I am speaking from a buyer's standpoint, it did not sound like that. But then again, looks can be deceiving so it could've been an accident.. who knows anymore. She never mentioned a spay/neuter contract but then again, I didn't ask.

I don't care what she or Angela says... from a buyer standpoint - she is just as involved as the boyfriend. Maybe it WAS accidental but I did not get that from the phone call at all (IMO). But then again, she is trying to sell the puppies, right... so I guess someone wouldn't outright say is was indeed accidental, if they are charging 600. Hmmm...

I also disagree from advertising the CH lines when selling these puppies. How embarrassing for her to have her lines listed with these puppies. If she has worked so hard for her lines and I am sure she wants to protect it, she did not have to list the CH lines, etc I guess its a way to plump up prices.

and Tammy, your Iz is just adorable. I don't think she is mixed but if you want to do a DNA, then that's up to you. I know you love her to pieces and someone that says "just ship them back" is ridiculous. When you bring home a pet, you are making a commitment not only to yourself but to THEM. So often people think about themselves and not about the pet. Then there are some of us, who no longer see them as pets, but as a part of our family, as babies. NEVER in my life would I ever expect someone to rehome a BABY. That's just ludacris. We have so many things in life, we have so many relationships but when the day is done, we are THEIR 'person' and I can't be more proud and humbled to say that I am my babies' 'person'. :') It makes me get teary eyed just typing it!

Sadly, Izzy's coat is the least of our concerns. She is also close to 10lbs. but again, that's also not the biggest of our concerns with Iz. She has issues other than the physical that we will have to forever monitor and if it worsens and our vet then recommends, she will have to have surgery.

So it sounds like she led you to believe that she only owns Yorkies, right? No mention of the fact that she has actually bred Schnauzers and that she does currently own (atleast )one named, Frankie....that she received from a breeder in exchange for Stephanie designing her website. ????

From talking with her, I would have no clue that she had any other dogs, besides Yorkies. We didn't go into detail about all of her dogs though. Cause I asked about mixes and she said she just had the Yorkies (by this, she could have meant just breeding). But I didn't know she had any other dogs until just now, reading it online.

But Mary, have you ever seen what you know to be a full blood yorkie with as curly hair, as the one pictured above? Or, if you paid $1800 for a yorkie would you expect this type of coat from a show breeder?
I have seen where they have a slight wave to them in spots. My Denny does, not curly but a wave at his hips. I have a pet girl that she does have a very wavy coat.....I know that she is purebred.....but, does have a wavy coat, not curly.

Tammy,

And by all means don't take this the wrong way. I've spoken to YT members that have told me they did their research. Through the course of the conversation what they felt was research, really wasn't.

Research means, contacting other exhibitors and/or people that own the breeders puppies.

PM me.

I'm so sorry, I know how heartbreaking this can be, I think full purchase price should be refunded.

I agree! At the least, Tammy should have been given a tremendous refund, due to the fact she paid for breeding rights.

Yep! Even though some may not agree with me breeding the parti....I DO have morals and I am a good person!! I would NEVER breed Isabeau, EVER!!! But had it been left up to Stephanie, the deed was done.....I was free to breed her because, yes, she was sold to me with full registration.

Oh my goodness, Mary...I do not take that the wrong way at all....you are VERY VERY right!!!! I wish that I had checked and then double checked and then triple checked. But, in all fairness, if I had then I am sure that I would have been deterred from buying Isabeau and I truly cannot imagine our family without her...I really can't!

Just goes to show that there are some breeders out there that do care about what they are breeding and what they produce! Tammy you are one of those! I won't give my opinion of Izzy's breeder, what she has done and NOT done for you is absolutely asinine!
