| I was the one who called Stephanie and inquired about the puppies on puppy find. As I stated in the other thread, she seemed VERY involved and gave me no reason to think she wasn't. If she wasn't, why not list her sister or her boyfriend's number or email on puppyfind (like she did Angela), instead of her own? Anyway, she answered all my questions and even offered additional information. For instance, (this is not word for word) I asked her how old the puppies were, when they were would be ready, etc... and she said that they were eating really well at 3 or so weeks and they are going to wait another 3 weeks or so. She said SHE would give them their first shot around then and then they would be leaving at 6-7 weeks.... also said they would be 6-8lb full grown, etc etc. She knew a LOT about the puppies to not be involved. If she does not agree to what she told me on the phone, then she should have no part in selling the puppies. No one can FORCE you to do something that you, yourself feels unethical. And IMO, if you are having prospective puppy buyers calling you to get more information, then you are VERY involved.
I also, for clarification, asked if she had any other mixed breeds (morkies, yorkipoos) and she said "no". She said that she just bred Yorkies. That's when she went to explain it was her sister's boyfriend's dog (mini schnauzer, 12lbs) but again, never mentioned accident and from the way she said it and from what a buyer standpoint I guess would assume (with the tone, wording, etc) it was something that was planned... I am NOT saying it was 100% planned (gosh, don't freakin' sue me, how childish)... I am speaking from a buyer's standpoint, it did not sound like that. But then again, looks can be deceiving so it could've been an accident.. who knows anymore. She never mentioned a spay/neuter contract but then again, I didn't ask.
I don't care what she or Angela says... from a buyer standpoint - she is just as involved as the boyfriend. Maybe it WAS accidental but I did not get that from the phone call at all (IMO). But then again, she is trying to sell the puppies, right... so I guess someone wouldn't outright say is was indeed accidental, if they are charging 600. Hmmm...
I also disagree from advertising the CH lines when selling these puppies. How embarrassing for her to have her lines listed with these puppies. If she has worked so hard for her lines and I am sure she wants to protect it, she did not have to list the CH lines, etc I guess its a way to plump up prices.
and Tammy, your Iz is just adorable. I don't think she is mixed but if you want to do a DNA, then that's up to you. I know you love her to pieces and someone that says "just ship them back" is ridiculous. When you bring home a pet, you are making a commitment not only to yourself but to THEM. So often people think about themselves and not about the pet. Then there are some of us, who no longer see them as pets, but as a part of our family, as babies. NEVER in my life would I ever expect someone to rehome a BABY. That's just ludacris. We have so many things in life, we have so many relationships but when the day is done, we are THEIR 'person' and I can't be more proud and humbled to say that I am my babies' 'person'. :') It makes me get teary eyed just typing it!
