Here's something that is bugging me and I have had more time to think about it. Stephanie used to breed Schnauzers herself, right??? How come she doesn't mention this in her post...why only about her sister's boyfriend having one? You know, my husband and I have always joked about how Izzy looks like she is mixed with Schaunzer because of her structure, size, curly/wavy coat, coloring, temperment....but we dismissed it because we didn't know that she had even bred anything but Yorkies. I love Izzy no matter what, but it does give pause.

Hmmm....does make you wonder, doesn't it? Perhaps more than just the one "accident" took place?

I know you love Izzy beyond words and it doesn't probably matter especially now, but if you really want to know the answer, I guess you could DNA?

None of this was my fault, nor my family's and definitely not Izzy's....so why is the suggestion of sending back my family member what you think that I should have done? Also, as for quoting some of the loving things that I have said about my precious Isabeau.....QUOTE AWAY....there's lots more on YT!! I meant EVERY SINGLE WORD of everything that I have written about Izzy....and then some! I adore her more than you can undertstand ("ship her back"). The fact that I love her does not change any of the wrongs made on Stephanie's part, PERIOD! I told her and I will tell you.....Stephanie should be thanking her lucky stars that she sold Izzy to people that do not view as dispoable and that we weren't the type of people to take her up on the offer of shipping her back at 7 months old. Iz was bought for breeding and do you think that me or my husband have once thought about rehoming her because we can't now.....NO WAY!!! So you using my words that I wrote about Izzy, doesn't make you or Stephanie look any better. Would you have liked if I trashd my sweet Isabeau all over YT?! It will NEVER EVER happen because I don't feel that way about her.....I love her too much. Now, Angie there are a ton more of those posts about Iz and there will be even more because she's my fur kid.

I paid $1800 (shippig included) for a dog that has the issues that Isabeau has....in case anyone is interested.
What a shame Tammy, that you have to be put through such nonsense! I can't imagine how ANYONE can expect to "return" a family member, PERIOD! And then have the gaul to come on here and try to defend the situation! Tammy, we all know you love your furkids dearly, don't take this garbage to heart!

I am not going to stay in y'alls drama....I do have things to do today. However, to answer just a few things. 1. Yes, Stephanie USED to breed schnauzers before she ever started showing....YEARS ago. Her sister just moved down so throwing around understated " bet it happened before " is just non sense.

2. Many GREAT breeders don't just give their yorkies away for free it cost enough to care for them, etc... If you choose to keep what you have b/c you love it...that is YOUR choice.

3. I never planned or will I ship Flirt...MY PURSE BABY world wide. Puppyfind defaults to that, I will go change that. I don't want to have to ship her anywhere, I have always been willing to work with someone on driving to meet or have them fly in to my airport and take her back in the cabin. There is a chance she may have to ship.....I will have to consider that if I can't make ground travel possible.

Ok, I am done...this is not productive. There are too many people who have nothing to do with this other than they have " an opion " and this is a free speach site...only problem is the facts are all distorted and wrong, but having the truth would be drama free and what fun is that, right?

Izzy's coat....and it is actually a LOT straighter than it normally is because she hasn't been cut short lately. When it is between the length that it is currently and when I have first shaved her, she has actual ringlets! As you can see, it is straighter at her shoulder blades, but still has the curl at the tips. I would love to be able to keep her in a long coat because it feels silky to the touch and VERY rarely knots, but I keep her short because it's tough to know what exactly to do with it. But, believe it or not, these pictures show her a ton straighter than when it has grown out some after being shaved.

I know what she looks like and I realize what her quality is next to a correct looking Yorkie....I do get that, but still, I can't help it....I think she is truly a doll! None of it is her fault.

I wasn't going to post anything and was going to try to keep things in private messages only but Angela, you tried to use my posts against me. Basically saying that I was lying because I have bragged about my sweet Iz. I am the person that purchased Izzy in good faith...this isn't my little secret to hide. I adore Isabeau, but she is what she is...there's no denying the poor breeding.

I would DNA, if that dog is not purebred for $1800 I would be on her doorstep!

All I can say is - WOW! This whole thing is sad!

First, the breeder does have some control over this whole ordeal. To say that she doesn't is just BS! The ad account is under her name. The links are to her site. She owns the sire. It's her sisters boyfriend. It's her kennel name being used to promote these dogs.

I don't think the breeder is doing this to make money - I do think it's her sister's boyfriend BUT she does have some say on all the other things going on. She has a well-known kennel name that she should have been protecting.

I just don't understand why anyone who has put this much time into their breeding/showing would allow this to happen. Her reputation has taken a major hit but not because anyone is telling lies or slandering her.

I don't understand why the sister's boyfriend didn't just sell the dogs in the local paper for a mixbreed price.

Angie,

Correct me if I am wrong but YOU started all the DRAMA,

YOU LISTED Flirt for Sale!!! Then YOU decided to keep her !!! YOU listed her for 800.00, ( she was still 2.8 pds when she was 800.00)
YOU said she was not fitting in your home!!!
YOU asked Admin To reopen the Thread that it was NOT working and that Flirt was not fitting in your Family and that your daughter was still young!!
YOU said your BREEDER had put her on PUPPYFIND!!!

So if your going to come back here and call it DRAMA

Please enlighten EVERYONE ON THIS SITE!!
WHAT is the PRICE FOR FLIRT!!!!!???????
Is she or is she NOT coming with Papers?
ON stephanies Listing she is with Papers ON YT she is NOT??
Please keep in mind you are selling a 1 year old dog, who needs to be REhomed, she is NOT breeding stock nor show quality!!
Her pedigreeis basicly irrelivent at this point its about her getting a good home , Correct!!
Just because she is 2.8 or what ever weight today, it DOES not make her more valuable, I do not know where you came up with that misconception?
Does this dog have an overbite???
Are you or are you not shipping her???

Please clarify all of this??
And more importantly ARE YOU INSISTING ON A SPAY CONTRACT!!! OR SPAYING HER BEFORE SHE LEAVES YOU????

sooo 2250.00 2000.00 1500.00 1000.00 900.00 800.00 ??????

?

I am going to go ahead and assume that since Stephanie runs a very Lucrative business she doesnt need you coming on here defending her sale of dogs nor her prices for dogs or threatening lawsuits!!! She is a big girl!! Speak for yoursefl!

Will you PM me? It's sad because I thought that I had done my research, but obviously not.

Several things are distressing to me:

"Purse baby" & "Teeny tiny" are buzz words used to get a much higher price for a dog! What is really bothersome to me is the ad doesn't mention that the dogs are or will need to be spayed. This SHOULD be done before the dogs are sold!! They are a year old, so they are old enough to be spayed. I can't stand the thought of someone buying 2 1/2lb dogs and breeding them. If they are required to be spayed, why don't you mention that in the ad?????

Shipping them "worldwide" I hope that's not really the case and if NOT, again change the ad!!

I now see that three of the Schnorkies are pending! I can just about guarantee you that the ads being connected to the breeder and the mention of champions etc... is what attracted attention to these puppies, otherwise they would be just like any other mixed breed puppy!
There isn't any way the breeder could place these ads with her name, email, phone number, etc.. and not expect this to come back to her reputation.

Seriously, if this was an accident and they are not puppies in her care, control and she has no say over how much, when they leave, etc..
Then she should distance herself from them and her family should have their own account and ads placed.
I don't see what difference not having them on your own website makes when all your info is in the ad with a link back to your website!
These are GREAT questions, all hurt feelings and PM's aside I'd love to hear the answer to this.

I am far from an expert but have seen many yorkies, and have never seen one as curly as your Izzy's. I've seen wavy hair but nothing this curly. Although, it is very pretty hair, I know it's not what you expected.

As someone else posted, for the price you paid, it's almost worth paying for a DNA.

I groom a yorkie, all black, curly, like you can't believe. The curls are not just only on his body, but all over his head. It takes hours to dry him out, because even though I keep him pretty short, he mats horribly and I refuse to cut a dog down unless my clippers will glide through the coat. I've often wondered if he was a poodle/yorkie mix, but never had the nerve to present that thought to the owner. She does love her boy and I'd do nothing to upset her.

I can understand why you would not question her. In that case it would serve no purpose to know....

But Mary, have you ever seen what you know to be a full blood yorkie with as curly hair, as the one pictured above? Or, if you paid $1800 for a yorkie would you expect this type of coat from a show breeder?

I just want to point out a common misconception, the term "show breeder" doesn't mean much, a show breeder could be a byb who decides to show one of her dogs. Perhaps one of her dogs meets standard, and is championed, however, its what she decides to do with that dog, that determines if she's an ethical breeder. You need two great dogs, to produce good examples of the breed, and even then it can be iffy. That's why reputable breeders know the line, and that curly of hair should have been bred out long ago. Some show breeders "show" only because the want to justify their prices. An ethical breeder shows because she wants to ensure that the dogs she breeds do have the qualities necessary to improve the line. An ethical breeder does everything she can do to protect her name, and this would mean if there is an accidental breeding, she should have the puppies neutered and find them good homes. This is her mistake, and she should fix the problem, not have someone sell the offspring for profit.
