pete isn't doing good at all, he isn't holding any thing down. DH wants to put him down, he can't see him like this neither can I. I have never had to make a decission like this before I am so sad. I will keep you guys posted...

I am really sorry. I am also really confused. I thought you were saving and had the money to get a Yorkie, then I thought the one you wanted was sick and you were going to wait, now you have one that is sick? Where did I miss this? I am sorry to hear Pete is not doing well. Hugs!

She is holding off for now on the yorkie pup because one of her doxies are sick, she is using the money (i think) that she had saved up for the yorkie to help with the vet cost of pete.

He is still in my prayers ((hugs))

you really should take him back to the vets so they can run another IV. He really needs medical help.. please consider taking him back to the vets..... im so sorry that he isnt doing well. ((hugss))

THANK YOU! I was so confused. Now I understand Pete is one of the doxies? Everyone refers to their dogs here as their babys and it gets hard to this old brain to follow. So so sorry about Pete, but I also agree he needs to go back to the vet!!

I feel for you. Last year we had to make the hard decision to put our 16 year old yorkie "Baby" down . It is one of the hardest things in the world to do. For Baby it was the right thing to do even if it left us with broken hearts . She is at peace now. After awhile we just had to have another little girl to love and welcomed Sophie into our heart and home. That was one of the easiest things in the world to do and has brought us so much joy. We still miss our "Baby" and always will but now we have another sweet little yorkie girl to have and hold I know you'll do what you believe is right for Pete.

I understand that! I have known some women who would not do anything without the approval of their husbands, and most of the times their husbands didn't approve. Goodness! Just for controlling reasons. I didn't end those friendships but I did distance myself because I couldn't deal with them coming to me for therapy discussions while they allow themselves to be controlled. Especially when their husbands did things without consulting them the majority of the time

i agree, yall need some marriage counseling or seriously have a sit down heart to heart talk. My husband use to b the same way. I have been with him for 5 years and have 2 beautiful little boys, working on our 3rd child, My yorkie Laynee and her 4 babies, plus 2 very old grumpy cats. and NONE of the above he wanted. lol.
we got married, he wasn't ready for kids but gave in and BAM...baby boy mike. he was getting ready for deployment and thought it wouldbe a bad idea for a second but gave in...BAM, baby boy Brai. I really wanted a dog after losing my last one and brought her home "without him knowing" and he fell in love. I went to cali to visit family and left her with a friend who male yorkie nailed her and now we have 4 pups (he wants to keep 2 of them now). And now this month h wants to try and have a little girl. so after years of him "not wanting" things, we have a beautful family and he wouldn't dream differently. If he knew how much you were hurting over losing a child i wouldn't think he would be so anal (sorry). buti seriously think firsthand you really need to just spend some time talking (about EVERYTHING). You tell him that you don't have to agree on what he does/buys and he doesn't have to agree on what you do/buy. I mean seriously, he need a wake up call on these control issues

I am going to take him but I am not sure if another treatment will help him, he is really bad, DH doesn't want to make the final decission he keeps saying he doesn't know what to do. I don't know what to do either, I am taking him just not sure if it will be for a treatment or to put him down the vet basicly told me he would die eventually because of his kidney problems. He didn't say how long he would live...

Yes she is right , my poor baby is sick with kidney problems vet says he might not make it, DH thinks we should put him down but will not make a decision about it so this is being left up to me I don't know what to do...

My hubby was the exact same way he did not want a dog in the house but he knew I wanted a yorkie more then anything, so I got the yorkie and that little dog loves him to death and he loves our puppy to death.
