That is good news! I was going to suggest documenting everything that you're doing to find him and Sharon is right on.

Thanks to those who volunteered to send emails to vets, shelters, etc. with Cookie's flyer. Keep 'em coming.

You just made me cry. Thank you. I dont care how long it takes. I know if Cookie is back by then I will be thrilled to be able to tell our story and help others in the same situation. If Cookie is not back at that time, I will still tell our story and maybe someone else can be helped this way.
This is just something really hard to deal with and so many people including animal lovers truly understand until they are in the same situation. I sympathized so much when I've read here about missing/lost/stolen pets but I never imagined how horrible it truly is. Today around 12 noon my neighbor across the street from us knocked on my door with a familiar expression of desperation on her face. I thought "oh no please dont tell me " Well she has family over and was helping her sis bring things inside the house back and forth. She did NOT realize that their little Pom-chi (Pomeranian/Chihuahua) got out. She is small around 3 lbs and mostly all white fluffball.She came barefoot and just holding her face and wiping her eyes because we locked our eyes and I felt her anxiety and pain. She just turned her face. I felt terrible. I told her to go NOW to knock,knock and knock all around here.
I was cooking a late breakfast at that time because I had gone to deliver the donations to the shelter and came back home to make breakfast.
Well she leaves and I start walking toward the kitchen and then I turn around and look at my front door and I just felt ...My husband looked at me and said " do you want me to drive around and look for this dog?" I just told him to go and I would finish cooking. He knows me too well.
He came back after driving through all the blocks until a dead end street. He didnt find it

The lady just kept saying "OMG this is my daughter's dog"

I wanted to say this that for several days as you know I've been getting the same 2 words at night. " ASK HERE" This morning the phone was ringing and I was still sleeping. The first thing that popped in my head was "ASK HERE"
I dont know , maybe I am suppose to ask on the phone? I sound insane I know but maybe I missed something in a phone conversation? I need to call someone back and ask. Either a shelter, or a person. So when I got a PM when I signed on YT saying that if a session with Lorrie would help...
Now I will ask Lorrie if I could get another session even though she said she thinks she got all the info to me.

i too thought about a local business..... "ask here about our specials" something of that nature. Sometimes businesses dont display these signs very well and you have to really look to see them.... and sometimes they are in inside the facility. I thought of that as well

I even thought maybe an a street name like Askere St lane or drive... or a mailbox with a family's name that says Askere
I know by now I am sounding completely nuts to some people but that is ok...

As much as I think that things are starting to settle down and things are going back to normal I feel like I am fooling myself.
Today I got in my car and drove through all the blocks with the windows rolled down and drove 5 mph with the listening device. I looked crazy,people outside are looking at me with these headphones on and this device pointed out the window lol.I drive into our driveway and my husband is on the roof putting up lights and he just shrugs his shoulders like saying " where did you go?" Then he sees the listening device and grins .
I guess after the neighbor's dog went missing everything hit me again. They did find their dog a few blocks away. Thank God.

My husband is not the type to have these types of dreams ever so he woke up freaked out about it. I told my mom today and she told me . The two headed snake is someone I know that is lieing to my face and they know about Cookie's whereabouts. The snake behind me is letting me know that I better watch my back.

I dont know what to make of it but I know its just a dream. I thought it was telling me something that I might have missed.

I live in a small town in Michigan. There's no traffic lights, one gas station, a feed and grain, and a couple of restaurants. I see MISSING DOG flyers all the time at each of these places and they don't mind hanging them up. Even in the small grocery store there's a public bulletin board. Gas stations are a good place to put them. Lots of people will see it. The schools won't allow it so think of a place lots of kids go.

And pet shops. Try that. (see the 'very sad' thread)

Oh Gen, how I wish Cookie would just show up on you doorstep...there is hope, somebody out there DOES indeed know exactly where he is, we just have to figure out who to ASK. I too think the two-headed snake is a symbol of someone being two-faced...not telling you the truth, the whole truth...nothing but the truth. Dear God, YT'ers believe in miracles, who is Gen suppose to ask? Prove to us all, especially Gen what a true miracle really is. I'm praying so hard for you, my eyes fill up with tears, I just know HE hears us and is trying to give you the answer...I just feel it. Cookie baby, please don't be scared...your mom will find you and bring you home.

Gen, have you thought about talking to the people that your neighbors dog went to? They may have traveled the same route and perhaps you should ask here. Sorry but I am so wrapped up in you and cookie, I can not start to imagine what I would do if Joey went missing, I would hate to ever lose Cabella to, but Joey was my savior from my empty nest when my daughter got married, and I can't look at him without thinking of you and Cookie. Tonight at 8 pm (Christmas Eve) I am lighting a candle and saying a prayer for you and Cookie, Please everyone else that is reading this post, please do the same. God will hear our prayers!!!!! Everytime I read a post on this thread I cry. Gen, we all share your heartache because we all know how we would feel if it were us. We don't know eachother yet we are all feeling this together.
Living in the Uk there just isn't anything i can do to help although I have been on American dog shelter websites hoping that something would jump out at me.

I very much believe that dreams try and tell us something and the person who mentioned the snake with 2 heads is so spot on about someone being two-faced.
This is going to sound very strange and perhaps nasty but I just have this feeling and I can't explain it that someone on here is reading these posts. Perhaps they are not contributing but they are reading and I am praying so hard that if that is the case that they will do what they know they need to do. I am so sorry if thats sounds really weird or upsetting but you know when you feel something. I can't explain it.
All I pray is that you get Cookie home. Somebody has found him, he is out there somewhere.
Lets all pray that at this time of year someone's heart opens up and they do the right thing.

I feel so bad for even typing this but I just had to. Please believe me when I say its because of a strong feeling I have.

Maybe Cookie has been feeling a bit under the weather because of his medical condition and they were trying to get some help ove rthe internet and bam, they stumble on this website. It has happened to me before, I googled a condition with dogs and google has brought me right back to YT.

Sorry YT'ers, I do not mean to upset or insult anyone here. If the poeple that have Cookie are lurking here on the thread, they can't be a regular YT'er, otherwise they would have definitely known how unbearable the pain of losing a pet would be! Or maybe it's just my imagination.

I too don't for one minute accuse someone who posts on here but I just believe they are looking and reading the posts. They know in their heart of hearts that they shouldn't have him but he may have been given to them and they don't know what to do.

"Ask here" it means ask here on this forum. Am I getting paranoid about poor Cookie? We just all so want a happy ending.
