By the time it airs, you and Cookie can be featured telling the other families how you two worked to be reunited, because we are praying for the Christmas Miracle and Christmas is just a few days away. I think we all need to light a special candle for you and Cookie Christmas Eve at 8pm and say a small prayer for you two. God hears better in numbers, and he should be able to hear all of us here at YT if we can do it together at the same time, mabey this will give Cookie the inspiration to find his way home if at all possible. You just made me cry. Thank you. I dont care how long it takes. I know if Cookie is back by then I will be thrilled to be able to tell our story and help others in the same situation. If Cookie is not back at that time, I will still tell our story and maybe someone else can be helped this way.
This is just something really hard to deal with and so many people including animal lovers truly understand until they are in the same situation. I sympathized so much when I've read here about missing/lost/stolen pets but I never imagined how horrible it truly is. Today around 12 noon my neighbor across the street from us knocked on my door with a familiar expression of desperation on her face. I thought "oh no please dont tell me " Well she has family over and was helping her sis bring things inside the house back and forth. She did NOT realize that their little Pom-chi (Pomeranian/Chihuahua) got out. She is small around 3 lbs and mostly all white fluffball.She came barefoot and just holding her face and wiping her eyes because we locked our eyes and I felt her anxiety and pain. She just turned her face. I felt terrible. I told her to go NOW to knock,knock and knock all around here.
I was cooking a late breakfast at that time because I had gone to deliver the donations to the shelter and came back home to make breakfast.
Well she leaves and I start walking toward the kitchen and then I turn around and look at my front door and I just felt ...My husband looked at me and said " do you want me to drive around and look for this dog?" I just told him to go and I would finish cooking. He knows me too well.
He came back after driving through all the blocks until a dead end street. He didnt find it
The lady just kept saying "OMG this is my daughter's dog"
