Home Again: Was extremely helpful and said that this mistake could deffinately happen if the person scanning the dog calls the wrong chip company. So even though your pet is chipped, that chip info is only through 1 Chip company. For us its AVID. She was kind and put all my info in the system. She said if they get a call with that chip number they will have a red flag in their system and get any info from the person calling and also contact me . So this could be an issue with some dogs or cats that shelters say they have been scanned but are not registered. If they call AVID and avid says its not registered. maybe it's registered with HomeAgain. I dont know how many Shelter employees would take the time to make 5 phone calls and stay on hold to see if the number is registered with that company...


Gen when i saw your dream about ASK HERE. I also immediately thought of a sign in a window or door in BIG CAPS that said ask here!. My quick vision was of a retail/business place that prominently displays ASK HERE!! I think vis a vis selling whatever they are selling. So maybe if there are shops in town that display this sign - you could go in and ask / let them know about Cookie.

I wanted to say this that for several days as you know I've been getting the same 2 words at night. " ASK HERE" This morning the phone was ringing and I was still sleeping. The first thing that popped in my head was "ASK HERE"
I dont know , maybe I am suppose to ask on the phone? I sound insane I know but maybe I missed something in a phone conversation? I need to call someone back and ask. Either a shelter, or a person. So when I got a PM when I signed on YT saying that if a session with Lorrie would help...
Now I will ask Lorrie if I could get another session even though she said she thinks she got all the info to me.

We will see. I'm leaving a message with her on her phone.
