Hugs to you Gen |
You mean they told them they were going to do an inspection ahead of time?? Oh, no. I've never heard of a 'scheduled' inspection. They're meant to expose violations. Suddenly. Without warning. That lends meaning to what you mentioned yesterday. That little bundle was being hidden. |

i think if you live in an apartment they cant just GO into your apartment.. they have to give you 24 hours notice... at least in my state they do... (i think) |

I looked up Florida law and it's 24 hours notice. That gives them time to hide any illegal, safety, and any other violations. Not good for the Cookie search, but there's still hope. The witness, and his microchip. This may take longer than we all thought, and certainly longer than Gen had hoped. I know she must be feeling hopeless right now, but there's still the original plan. She has all of the bases covered unless she missed something, and I don't think she did. Don't give up, Gen. Please. |
Of course they either hid him or sold him by now. The law in Florida requires you to give notice of an inspection. The manager did see the chihuahua but no yorkie. You have to pay a pet fee for each pet. I cant stake out the place anymore. Some guy that opened a door when I knocked seen me at the parking lot. I have no idea if he lives in that suspect apartment. But even if I park 2 buildings away , I can still be seen from the windows. All parking is right in front view of the building. Every vet in that city has my flyer plus a Warning letter that says someone has picked up my dog and is not returning it. Please scan any new patient Yorkies. There is nothing else I can do. Unless I can get a PI for free then I can't hire them. I know a lot of people say " If it was me I would break in, or bang on all those doors.Start a fire! Sleep in the parking lot..." It's sooo easy to say that. Gas alone is $18-$20 roundtrip. Not asking for any funds.YT has helped more than I could ask for. When I go its a 2-3 hr stake out I don't understand how cruel this person can be to do this to us. I dont get it. This is what worries me about them having Cookie, if it is him. How can you treat something good if it does not belong to you? Gen |

I tried emailing you twice but it keeps getting returned? Gen |
Aww Gen, don't give up! People will do a lot of things to avoid having to pay those pet charges. And yes, it is silly that they require 24 hour notice...although I think our condo association has probably violated that rule a couple times  Can you maybe get a friend to drive you to a stake out or borrow a car so that it isn't always in the same car? That might be a little less suspicious. Keeping you and your baby in my thoughts. |
I will see if I can get another car to go there. I saw on craigslist another missing Yorkie but in Miami. This tears my heart up. I called them and offered any support I could give. The grandmother answered the phone and is heartbroken. She is a small female yorkie. I'm so scared this little girl may end up in the wrong hands to breed because she is not spayed!! I asked if she might be in heat and maybe thats why she ran off but the lady didnt understand me too well. She only spoke in spanish and even though I speak spanish I dont know how to say "in heat" in spanish! The daughter will call me back, they are getting flyers printed out and coming back home. It's been less than 24 hrs that she is missing.I have to tell them about laminating posters and knocking on every door NOW. Lost Dog! |

very sad.. :(.. I hope that she and cookie are found soon!! ((hugs)) Off topic some.(cuz not a yorkie). there has been two labs in a few counties over from me are assumed to be stolen. They have been looking everywhere, posting signs, a ton of people have stepped up and volunteered their time to post flyers etc. They have posted on all the CL's around and someone has flagged them over and over again on every CL's so the authorities have stepped in thinking that the person doing all the flagging (cuz really why would you flag a lost dog ad ) is the person that has the 2 labs. The owners are offering a 10,000 dollar reward for the safe return of thier dogs.... wow... But everytime I read thier ads, it breaks my heart for the dogs, owners and I think about Cookie.. :( |

I think maybe we should all say a prayer that the person that has Cookie, finds it in their heart to return him safely. Gen you have done nearly everything possible, outside of hiring a PI, to find your baby. You have done so much good for others with lost pets as well...I believe wholeheartedly, that God will repay you for your good deeds. He will keep Cookie safe, he will show this individual the light, he will bring Cookie home. I feel your frustration, I want to share my hope and faith with you, because I believe. |
