Sushi is still keeping her paws crossed. She will never give up on Cookie. huuuuuuuugs. |
I know that I've responded to some of the ads listed above for Gen, but none are Cookie. When I get replies I'll let you know. I watch the craigslist ads carefully by date so I don't double-send. |
Still praying for Cookie's return. |
I received a reply already, and it's good to know there are others in a good position that are looking for him. And I didn't even have to mention his name or Gen's!! "I know Genie and Cookie very well. Her dog is on our home page as well as in our lost and found page. The dog we found is not hers. I talk to her almost every day. Thanks. 1 Attachment(s) Just doing my normal searching and came across this one. I realize Cookie is chipped so they should've scanned this little guy, but if nothing else he needs to be rescued from Miami-Dade Animal Services...the picture is terrible but he looks about the right size and he's neutered. Here's his picture and links to both pages he's on in case one link doesn't work: PetHarbor.com: Animal Shelter adopt a pet; dogs, cats, puppies, kittens! Humane Society, SPCA. Lost & Found. Adopt a Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie: LIL LOU: Petfinder |
Please re lite your candles. There are only 2 left. |
I try to keep two lit, one every other day. |

He is so tiny...let me know when they get back to you if anything needs to be done, I'm not too far from there...obviously there wasn't much I could do at 4 in the morning when I found him lol. Yes, there are a lot of "lost" Yorkies (and dogs in general) in the Miami area, but as a result M-D Animal Services is NOT a place you want your dog to end up...very high turnover if you know what I mean. But, if it's not Cookie, then I'm sure his owners are looking for him, and he should definitely be cross-referenced with all the "lost" yorkies on the Florida Yorkie Rescue page and Craigslist, etc. Poor little guy does not belong there :( |
Gen, I feel so sad that you are going through this terrible incident! I pray for a miracle comes through. You are genuinely in my prayers. And also, all those lost dogs out there, makes me feel bad. Regards, Rontiss1 |
Wow I didn't realize there were so many lost dogs in the Miami area. I just posted a thread this morning re: my cousin loosing her Yorkie last night and she is in the Broward/Dade area. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...ng-yorkie.html :( This thread has a lot of good information - i will make sure she sees it. And I will be praying for Cookie's safe return too! |
Just got this back on Lil Lou. The reference to Mirelle and universal scanner was a comment I made to them about Avid chips being encrypted and not scannable by all scanners. Mirelle must be a supervisor who was copied with my email. Lil Lou weighed 8 lbs and we found he did not have a microchip. We hold all dogs for 5 days to give time for owner to claim them. On day 5, they become the shelter’s property and can then be adopted to someone new. Lil Lou was adopted today. Mirielle, are our scanners universal?
