Nothing new to report but I have been busy with this.
I felt down for a little while today but my sister was texting me telling me not to give up. I wanted to laugh. Give up on Cookie??? NEVER
I will go through a rollercoaster of emotions and no matter how bad my day is I cant give up. I miss him so bad I can't describe it. I dont say it in detail because its like I'm talking about a real baby to people.
I dont breakdown as much but I still feel it in my heart.
I actually was talking to my family about a memory of Cookie. Our Maltese was digging into her water bowl like crazy because it was empty and we all laughed and I got up to pour water in her bowl.
At that moment I thought of Cookie and I told them
" Cookie doesnt dig into his bowl like crazy.What he does is put both front paws into the bowl and start looking around and hope someone sees him with his paws just in the bowl. I always used to say "Hon! hurry Cookie wants his pedicure now!" Everyone started laughing and saying "Aww" at the same time. They all knew that meant put water in their bowls please! lol
Everyone in my family misses him so much.
I'm sticking to this until I find something out.

Sounds like somethings up in your area. Maybe someone realized how much they could get for these little dogs and is making a "business" out of it. Do you know if the other people missing dogs have reported it to the police, maybe they will evenutally notice a trend and do something about it. Best of luck to Cookie and you!

I think hired a PI will be the best thing to do, specially one like a retire cop, sheriff or even FBI, they can get this thing done in no time, and ck on that person everything they have access that regular people can't have, depends how far you want to go, for a short video, picture etc, you can ID the dog is is yours and then go to the cops, it may be a little expensive or may not but it will be worth your peace of mind:animal-pa

Trust me if I had that kind of money I would have hired a PI and k9 search dogs the first week he was missing.

How many pi have you contacted in Florida? do they give you any quote?

I can only call PI in PSL area. They range from $50-$100+ per hour

The inspections were done. I suspected that they would find nothing and they found nothing. The manager did most the inspections herself.
It makes no sense to me.
Inspections are done to make sure things are right, that they dont have more people than they should living there. That there are no pets if they said they dont have pets.
But if you tell people in advance. DUH! They are going to clean up everything and get rid of the dog or ask someone to hold it for them.
