I know what you mean. I have a friend and her yorkie is sooooo small. She is always hiding behind her legs. Well she walks though. She gets scared when she gets picked up, too high for her I guess. She just kind of stands there. She doesn't fetch either.


Uni on the other hand prefers not to being carried. She would rather walk. I can only hold her in my shop or at home, and to and from the car, that's it. Otherwise she starts complaining.

This also reminds me of a time.... i was out shopping on Melrose, and i was wearing huge platform shoes. And these girls come up to me and say "can you walk in those?" I go, No I can't, I flew here.

I dont think I have ever gotten that. Callies about 15 pounds and I still worry that she will get stepped on so I either carry her, put her in the cart, or her stroller but she likes being carried and being up high where she can see everything but she will cry to be picked up sometimes. She sorta like rides on my hip like a human baby and I like it so I think I would just ignore those people.

Hmm...I have had people say that but I just blow them off. Its even worse when they are in stroller, but I like them to be safe.

LOL I love your comment to those girls. I wish people would think before they say dumb comments like that. No, obviously you can't walk in the shoes you're currently wearing to walk.

I was at the vet a few weeks ago, and I was holding Addie the whole time. I'm just not very comfortable putting her down on the waiting room floor, and there were a lot of bigger dogs there.

Well, after my visit with the vet, I'm at the front trying to pay. I'm still holding Addie, and this lady who had been waiting in the room with me before says, "Can't she walk?" in a sarcastic tone. She didn't have this ridiculously rude tone, but it still pissed me off. I just turned to face her and nicely said, "Of course she can. I just prefer to keep her safe."
She at least had the sense to appear a bit embarrassed when I replied.

I was kind of shocked that anyone would say something like that to me. Why do some people think they always have the right to add commentary? If you want to do that, star in a movie and then you and the director can not shut up together.

I guess some people just think they are recording commentary to the DVD that is their life. I don't know how many people are going to watch that though.

Most people around here will ask before touching or trying to touch the girls. Both of them are just under 4 pounds so that is really nice. If we are out anywhere we put them in their slings or stroller.

But about two weeks ago we were in Pigeon Forge shopping and this kid was unbelievable. I wanted to just slap his mom. I have a 10 year daughter and I would never let her behave like that. The girls were in their stroller and they never bark when they are in there. This boy about 7 years old gets down in the floor poking his fingers at the girls. My husband asked him to stop. The mother did nothing. So my husband with the pink stroller moves. Well, the boy moves too, and is doing the same thing. By this time I so mad. I just lay down my stuff and tell the woman that if she going to have children she needs to learn to watch her child and not let him do what ever he wants.

I will let anyone that wants to pet my girls but this boy was try to hurt them and his mom just stood there. Even his bigger sister slapped him on the back of the head and told him to stop.

Some people are just rude! That is all you can say!
