Help!! My parents won't allow the dog in their home!

The ONLY recommendation I could offer if you are set on going ahead with your travel plans is to perhaps contact your Breeder and see if you can have her keep your baby till your return. That would be the ONLY person I would trust with a new puppy especially at 9-10 weeks which, honestly is too young to even have been away from its Momma.

At first when I read your OP, I was thinking your Daddy was awnry like mine...lol...but, now that I see your puppy's age...you've got one very smart Daddy and I have to side with his stand on NO puppy visit!

As others here have mentioned all the risks to your puppy traveling at such a young age...I wouldn't even think of taking a chance like this.

in fact i just told my mom that, we talked about how dad might warm up to Sadie and be okay with her once she's house trained 100% reliable.

btw, i talked to dad tonight too, he's not a phone talker but since i got married he talks more to me than ever before...awwww....anyways, he was giving me advice about feeding her and making sure she's not too fat or skinny...so i KNOW he's more excited than he's letting on...he's a dog lover, he loves Bailey, and he had Ruger, our golden retriever for 14 plus years and putting her down was THE SINGLE MOST DIFFICULT time in all of our lives, i still bawl about it pretty regularly.

anyways, he's already coming around i can just tell!!

To Amazing Yorkies, I am so sorry. I cannot begin to tell you how much you will miss her...I think that regardless of your age, life changes almost beyond recognition when you lose a parent. I pray your Mother has a peaceful passing and that you allow yourself to rejoice in her life even as you grieve. God bless.

I think due to everyone having individual life experiences people will read a post and respond as best they can with the knowledge they have. I love that about YT. It really does broaden a person's mind. There are things I may think of while reading a post and then someone else might think of something completely unrelated. I think it all helps. It's just so hard sometimes to see a person's best intensions without the help of facial expressions or body language...PC's can be frustrating in that way.

To the OP, my husband was so very mad when I got the puppies...Now he can't get enough of them...dad will come around. When do you get her? Are you going to pick her up?

If I lived near Amazing Yorkies I'd be picking out a puppy right now instead of typing on the computer...LOL!!!

If that were so, this thread would not be necessary. She could be visiting with her Dad, and the puppy would be here with me until she was 12 weeks old, or I would be offering to babysit if needed.
