Do Yorkies sometimes look like Chuahuas?

Looks like a Yorkie to me. Chihuahua, I don't see it from this photo and certainly don't look like a mix at this point. Yorkies go threw so many weird changes. You don't know what you got until at least eight months and even then they change so much. You really need to have some confidence in you breeder. Hope you did your homework.

I tried, I did all that I knew to do. I even emailed one of her references who seemed to be happy with her and her dog. Couldn't find anything negative from anyone or anywhere online. I'll know for sure soon. I hope I am wrong

Coming from someone who has a mutt I'm sure you're blah, but nevertheless happy they are healthy...I'll take a fully developed puppy any day over a poor puppy mill baby with underdeveloped organs...sorry dont mean to be gloomy...but this weekend all i heard was "wow, Daisy is "special" looking...a face only a mother could love...After i gave my family the vulgar finger, I looked at her and saw a beautiful long legged healthy freakish puppy...she's all mine!

You're funny and sweet! Thanks but I'm not Daisy's mom and I think she's adorable. I think Ksena is adorable too....I just doubt she's purebred that's all and I was expecting a purebred....my pekenese isn't exactly great quality but I know he's a pekenese...get where I'm coming from???

I just noticed my Ksena looks almost identical to your Daisy....what mix is she?

Thank you!, You're absolutely right...I'm sorry it it doesn't feel good to wonder... I believe Ksena and Daisy share the same ears! Daisy is a Morkie, Maltese and a Yorkie...I had my doubts...thought she was Yorkie and Chihuahua, but the breeder was real sweet and sent me pics of the mom and pops, she just happens to take after her dad more than maltese mother!

I don't see any Maltese in Daisy at all.

She looks like a red legged Yorkie to me.

I agree...when I was searching for a baby Morkie, A lot of the puppies were caramel, and just different looking...When I saw Daisy, she was next to a purebred Yorkie, and I knew she wasnt one, but i also didnt think she was a morkie...i was shocked when the breeder told me what she was. Whats a red legged Yorkie? I'm curious! Google Time!

So I just finished a search, I was looking while I got your message, and my hypothesis is...Daisy's Dad must have been a red legged Yorkie...hence her long legs, and redish golden hair...vs shorter legs and blonder hair...Since apparently those genes are strong in breeding, it over powered the maltese.
Daisy though has lost her Yorkie coloring...she's now overall reddish blond, and her roots dont appear to be coming in dark anymore. Thanks Ladymom! I learned something new!
