| ![]() If it weren't for my husband, I would but he doesn't want to. Of course he will never trust her again and he really liked her. He is attached to the puppy too. So I just have to deal with it somehow. On another note, she is not eating her dry puppy food that I bought for her. She acts like it is too hard too chew. She likes wet food but I would rather feed her dry. Does anyone have an idea about a dry food she might like. |

She may not have been the one you picked out, but maybe this little one is meant to be yours. You will end up loving her... she really is precious... she looks exactly like Chip did when he was a baby.

| ![]() This is excellent food in small bites but I think there has been a recall on some it, maybe someone else can tell you more about it since I have not had a pup in over 20 yrs. this food can be purchased in a pet shop like PetCo. I know there have to be others with sm. bites and also good but I consider this the best...depending what you want to spend and yet they are so small and eat so little. ![]()

| ![]() Ohhhh, she is sooo cute! How adorable!! You can't take her back now - she's home. What's her name?? Lots of advice on here regarding food/diet. Lots of choices to choose from. When I brought Bailey home, she didn't much care for her kibble, either. So, I put some beef broth over it. That helped. There was a period when Bailey wouldn't eat kibble or canned food. Also, that was when the dog food scare was going on - so I switched her to a human grade raw diet consisting of lean hamburger, turkey, venison, rice, egg, cottage cheese, bone meal, potassium and safflower oil. She absolutely loves it!! My mom feeds her dog this recipe and has never had to have a dental on her baby!!! Knock on wood, neither will Bailey...?

Your post above is #37 out of 81 at this point. I have not read thru to the others, but wanted to say to you to let go of being deceived (not easy, but necessary for you to truly get the benefits and blessing of your 6 lb baby). I understand the frustration and feeling of being "had" I would be upset just as you are, but for your sake, let it go and focus on your new baby. I believe that if you do this, you will not regret having her. That's a bum rap what happen but don't prolong the negative effect on you by dwelling on it. The longer you dwell on it, you allow it to happen to you again and again. Post a picture of your baby when you can!! :-) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | |

| ![]() I like the idea of putting the broth over it. Just wetting it hasn't helped. She doesn't like it. |

| ![]() I just saw the pictures of your baby... what a beauty!! Someone in another post said of the pictures that you... "got jip in a good way" !!!... I agree, she is a wonderful puppy and in spite of the breeder's dishonesty, I sense that you are loving and enjoying her. I am sorry your joy had to be tempered with dishonesty, but you still came out ahead with such a beautiful puppy!! Ref the dry food, I have never seen such finicky eater as my adult yorkie (7 yrs old) !! I mix a very small amount (miniscule of wet food... just enough to coat the dry food with juices) to get her to eat. My yorkie puppy (7 mths eat the dry food without a problem) You want to keep the wet food to a minimum because yorkies already are proned to dental problems and the wet food contributes to that!! Good Luck. ![]() ![]() ![]() EVO is excellent $15 a bag but with yorkies it last a month!! I also find that my Yorkies like Avoderm which is about $6 a bag at Petsmarts. So I am mixing the two and coating with wet food. Also in the place of wet food shredded cheddar cheese works well. My yorkies LUV SHREDDED CHEESE!! |

| ![]() You can also grind the dry food in a blender. I wean all my puppies on ground up dry food and they love it. She might enjoy it that way. |

| ![]() I have to say that so many breeder swear there puppies are going to be 4 pounds most people have 7 pound yorkies that they swear are 4 pounds .. a four pound Yorkie is prone to have more issues .. When I think my puppies are going to be that tiny I dont ever let them go till they are AT LEAST 4 months old most un ethical breeder will set there scale back to read what they want you to see I would never ever send a 2 pound puppie home with a Novice..I have had a liver shunt babie who i had to cook for every day and medicate constatly before we lost her at 2 years old i had spent close to 4 thousand dollars .. and blood sweat and tears and lets talk about having a full second set of teeth pulled ...at six pounds you dont have to fear a baby jumping off the bed and loosing her .. 2 more pounds mean a safe longer living healthy yorkie .. I know this was a slight rant .. but I am the person who will tell a prospective buyer No .. this is not the right dog for you ..if she did switch the dog or tell you a false weight thats not right .. its wrong .. but six pounds is still breed ... at a healthy size

| ![]() My husband says thank you for the blender idea. He is the "cook" in the family. He is going to try to see what happens with his vita-mix. Then maybe pour a little broth over it. If that doesn't work we will try one of these other brands. |
