| OMG, I am so very sorry for you. My heart goes out to you. I too, always thought that golden retrievers were a gentle breed. Apparently, I was quite wrong to think so. I know I will never let my Molly near any dog larger than her. |

| I am so very sorry this happened to you. I am always leary of Lola with other dogs. No matter what size. She's extremely playful and I'm afraid it will be received as a threat. |

| I'm so sorry about your loss. We have a yorkie Brady who is 11 months, and Sugar a golden retriever who is almost 11 years old. They are the best of buddies. This picture I am attaching was taken not long after we got Brady, but the weirdest thing, is like 2 nights ago, I was watching them in the living room, and they were laying the exact same way. |

| This is such a terrible story, my yorkie has been around a golden lab which was my ex's dog. The lab was so friendly and gentle 2wards bailey its hard to imagin this breed killing a yorkie even tho it does happen. I will never trust any dog now around my bailey. I am so sorry for your loss and that this happened to your little girl. xxxx

| I am sorry about your loss. I think you have to be careful around all larger dogs including labs

| My heart bleeds for you. I would have hurt myself than have anything like that happen to Boobah or Tiny Gina. It makes me think how I can lose something as precious as my doggies. God bless you and your dog that passed away. These adorable creatures have only love for us. They are unconditional, just want to be fed, cared for, and given a little attention.

| This is sooooo sad my heart goes out to you. About 18 years ago I had a tiny little 2 lb Yorkie named Prissy. She was even in my wedding. I had taken her to a friends house with me. It wasn't the first time that I had been there. Her son had a ferrit. Well to make a long story short. The ferrit was out and it cornered my little Prissy and shook her, breaking her neck. We couldn't get the ferrit to let her go. I knew she was gone as soon as I got a hold of her. Her little heart was still beating as I held her and she passed on. It has taken me all of these years to get another yorkie. Time will heal your wounds but it will take time. Lots of it. I will keep you in my heart. I am truely sorry.

| That is scary ..I just don't trust bigger dogs myself. I'd let Pao play with big breed puppies but even that he doesn't like it so I don't. I just avoid all big dogs when we are out for a walk or going to a friend's house with big dogs I don't bring him no matter how friendly they say their dogs are. That is why when I start to do dog-sitting from home, I only take in small dogs.

| I am so sorry that you have lost your sweet Sophie. How difficult for all of you and your dear older yorkie. My brother has a golden, when we go there to visit my little 3 1/2 lb Roxy bosses him around. He is so peaceful & has 2 toddlers crawling all over him. But I do watch how they interact. I think these dogs who are bred to hunt in anyway, can react in a different way to these tiny dogs - their natural instincts can kick in. I was recently vacationing in Florida & went to the doggie beach - where everyone is running loose. I really had to watch the reaction of my 2 yorkies around the other dogs - several times I scooped them up when their fear seemed evident -- I believe they can sense so much - and I knew I was better off overacting, as the owner of a big dog tells me, 'oh, he loves little dogs, etc. etc' - my 1st job is to protect my 2. I pray that you will find peace and not blame yourself. Continue to come to YT - here you will find true friendship

| My girl is very playful and always assumes everything is about her! DIVA! For example - when we have company - she assumes they came to see her. Or if we go to a cook out - she assumes its HER party. ![]() Shes a trip - but my point is - she LOVES to play with ALL dogs. But she bows down - tucks tail and comes to me when a retriever enters the picture. Always! Too weird. Must be something Yorkies know about them that our rose-colored glasses wont allow us to see? Im so sorry for your loss. I just lost my parrot of 14 yrs - I know your pain. |

| YT Addict | I'm sorry about your baby, that is so sad. Especially to hear it was a golden retriever. I have a golden - her and Lexi are best friends and she is amazingly gentle. She's 14y/o. Please don't discriminate against the breed because of a couple bad apples... |

| I'm sorry for your loss. Please don't hate all goldens and try to ban them. They are really good dogs, just those two obviously weren't. I had one and he was amazing and so gentle.
