My horrible story
 
Hi there.

I am new to this place. I recently lost my yorkie. 2 Golden retrievers ganged up on her and ripped half of her face off (I am sorry Of the graphicness) She lived.. aftter, literally, half of her face being tore off, she lived for a few hours and may have even survived by a miricle. But she would have been put through too much pain. I had my baby put to sleep at the age of 9 months.


These goldens are family dogs. Were great with other dogs and there family has five kids. It all happened so fast. I was watching them. And when I turned to pour a glass of juice, they were both on top of her and ripping her apart. In the time it took me to get into the room right next to the kitchen, were i was (Its an open consept so I was watching them as i was in the kitchen) .. She didnt even do anything to provoke them. They just turned on her. She has been around pittbulls and rottweilers, and have never had a bad experiance. BUt goldens sent her to her death????? I dont undestand. I think i am still in shock even though it happened 4 days ago.

Sophie was her name.

Thor has always been terrified around retrievers. For good reason, apparently! I am so sad to hear about you and your sweet dog.

Yes, very good reason.
Most people see these dogs as little angels. I have never felt that way about them. The are devils in disguase. IMO. People keep targeting the more "powerfull looking breeds" when they should be goingafter those retreivers.

I am so sorry this happened. It must just be a coinsidence, but my sister inlaw\'s golden kill my mother in law\'s pug. That happened only 3 months ago. I was told she just like bulling other dogs. Now, it is getting hard to trust any other breeds around these little ones

people would really be surprised to know how many golden retrievers have attackked and even killed other dogs, and children. BUt it never seems to be reported, Like when A pittbull or rottweiler attacks.. I dont think its fair. GOldens should be banned here too. :mad:

I am so sorry for your loss. OMG! I thought golden retrievers were the most gentle dog. My son just bought a golden retriever puppy. I let my yorkies play with it but i bet from now on as it gets older and bigger, they wont play with it!
