| ![]() Sorry you don't understand that when you ask a question on here you are going to get everyones opinions. These are there own opinions but you opened that door for it. Do you ask a question to get fake answers? You want people to lie to you? Or just want to hear the answer you want? There are mixed breeds out there. They call them designer dogs now day a fancier name then "mutes". It use to be these were accidents and those dogs were given away "free" to homes that would love them. Now we have alot of breeders out there that truely want to make the mistake of cross breeding. It doesn't better the breed itself and there are alot of people on here that tuely believe from the heart we should better this breed. That is all the right reasons to be a breeder. And if you have breed your dogs your should be responsible in doing that or have them fixed. Yes there are people that take mixed breeds and love them and care for them just as much as purebreds. Thank God for those people otherwise there would be more out there killed. I don't think there should be an thought process when it comes to mixing a breed the answer should be "NO". And if you aren't doing it for the money then there should be more people out there able to afford your dogs because you want to make sure owners get purebred yorkies and can afford them. You must be doing it out of your heart and no recooping all your expenses of raising one in the right manner. No one is here to hurt someone directly. But its fair to speak your thoughts. If you don't want to hear what might hurt you then don't ask a question. "you might get your feelings hurt by people being honest." Isn't American wonderful we still have freedom of speech!!!!!!

| ![]() Bottom line is, there are plenty of mixed breeds already out there looking for good homes at reasonable prices. There is NO justification for breeding more of them! |

| ![]() Alot of yorkie breeders are breeding yorkies/malteses, and believe me, right now, they're selling a lot better than the yorkies...there is a very high demand for them.. |

And btw, this is a breeders auction.....the breeders weren't the ones buying the mixes. We rescued one....we don't have near enough foster families for all of them ![]() With the exception of a few, most of the dogs we've rescued from the kill shelters have been yorkie mixes.

In a perfect world we would have more threads titled "How do I get started getting a Rescue" rather than "How do I get started breeding" And the funny thing is I bet every single breeder that is breeding for the RIGHT reasons and with the RIGHT knowledge agrees with what i just said and takes NO offense to what I said as the get what it REALLY means. If you know me, you know Im not snotty, rude, nor am i anti-breeder in ANY way. ![]() ![]() ![]()

| ![]() are you wondering if your male will turn into a poodle mix if he is bred to one? the answer is no. breeding to a mix breed dog will not change the genetics of your male. |

| ![]() OK OK OK OK This is crazzzzzy! I only asked a simple question because a friend of mine wanted to use Milo to breed her I found out to be a silky terrier poodle mix. I did not need to be lectured on how the pups could be put in shelters or auctioned off. The story of the pups that were auctioned off for research breaks my heart! ![]() ![]() Last edited by admin; 10-24-2008 at 02:25 PM. Reason: Edited for language |

The thing is, while your Milo's kids would go to good homes most likely, those are homes, that had YOU not bred, may have chosen a rescue/shelter mix, instead of buying one from a byb.......think about that...in a way you could be responsible for another puppy/dog losing it's life by breeding your Milo.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | ![]() One thing I didn't know before is that dogs can transmit sexually transmitted diseases, even if it's the first time for both. From what I've read if you are going to stud your dog out, the female should be tested to ensure that she isn't giving your dog a potentially dangerous and costly disease. Many people wish to skip this test because of the expense when their not breeding purebreds, and they tend to take important shortcuts. Also, if you plan to stud your dog again, other breeders will want to know who you dog has been with, and this might affect their decision. This is one of the reasons people have suggested you do research first, many of us who have thought our dogs would make great little studs have changed our minds once we learned more. The more you know, the better your decision.
