| Yes, I think that does make you a breeder. So, your doing it for the money? You really need to stop now and educate yourself with yorkies and breeding. I am new here also, and here because I'm educating myself on yorkies, before I jump in and buy one. I have no desire to breed, I just want a companion. I have been learning for the past few months, and will continue to learn until after the first of the year when I plan to get mine. It is very important to EDUCATE yourself FIRST!!!

| One reason that I dont post on here is because some of you ( and you know who you are) always seem to have such snotty and superior responses. No need for that !!! She asked a question and wasnt asking for a lecture on breeding. She has every right to breed her dogs if she so wishes. I doubt that she will be takeing any money out of your pockets. Why cant you just chill a little and use some kindness instead of trying to impress! |

She does have "every right" to breed her dogs, but that doesn't make it right! And btw, it's not about taking money out of anyone's pocket. Also, welcome to YT....for someone so hesitant to post, you started out with a bang

| I kind of have to agree, some people jump down your throat..the thing is every breeder started somewhere...as far as the mixing, I myself have no problem with yorkie mixes, and have looked in our shelter for them, well, actually the shelters within 60 miles from me, and they're already gone...You have to remember, a lot of people, especially right now with the economy the way it is and money being tight, want a small dog, and love the morkies and other yorkie mixes..myself, I've never seen an ugly yorkie mix yet |

Yes Im back. Got home from work and checked on the outcome. First of all this is'nt my first rodeo girls. I have been around forums of all sorts for a long time and know how the clic's stick together. The above quote would have gotten my panties in a bunch pretty quick , and this isnt the only one, just my favorite. I visited with this young girl one on one and found that she is NOT a breeder., her first time BREEDING was not planed and resulted in one pup which she gave to her mom for paying the vet bill!!! The second time that she bred resulted in a BREEDING that didnt take. Her female was also in her 3rd heat cycle. So before presuming that people are out there with their palms out and trying to steal your thunder, why don't you have the decency to find out more about them before you start slinging mud?????? Oh and just so you know how it feels !!!! You can talk about how you BREEDERS are just trying to improve the breed , blah, blah, blah, but I bet you don't say " Oh no keep your money!!! I just want you to have a better Yorkie to love!"

What if your purebreed male gets injured during the breeding process with this unregistered dog? Then you are out what ever quality puppies this male may have produced with a registered female. Even with breeding to a registered female you have no guarantee the male will not get hurt. Your best bet is too read all you can about breeding. don't leave the dogs alone if you think they might tie. If you are trully concerned then read on how to collect a specimen and artificially inseminate the female. some people like Yorkiepoos, but sometimes the puppies are not very attractive. sure they are cute when they are puppies. If you like traits of the standard Yorkie and you keep one of these pups then you may be very upset if there ears never stand up. If you like the coat of a Poodle and the coat takes on the traits of the Yorkie then you are frustrated. Do you really win?

| I picked your quote because I thought it was unnecessary and quite frankly rude. I felt like she was jumped on for no reason, not only by you but but others as well. I have a habit of fighting for the underdog! Pun intended! I am glad that you found a compassionate breeder who was willing to work with you, but having one Yorkie does not make you or anyone else an expert. I have 2 myself and lord help anyone that even looks cross eyed at my babies, but an expert I'm not!!! I have been looking at some of the other posts and have yet to see the butt kicking that this poor girl got for a simple question. I just think that everyone should play nice or not play at all!! |

| I breeded my little boy and girl twice but i dont call myself a breeder. The reason is because i get attached to the puppies and want to keep them all. I dont think a real breeder would get so attached and not want to sell any
