OMG! I didn't know it was possible that someone could do that HORRIBLE of a job, geez it looks like someone paid them to do the worst cut ever! I was shocked when i saw your photos. luckily though, his hair isn't that short so I really think if you took him to a local groomer someone qualifed can defintely fix it!

				   | I never had a bad experience at PetSmart . I am sorry your dog's haircut did not come out right. He still looks cute. I had a bad experience with Petco. My Shih Tzu came home afraid of a hair comb. I think my dog was hit with a hair comb, because she was never afraid of a hair comb before I took her to get groom. She not afraid of hair combs anymore. From listening to your stories, I decided to groom my dogs at home. I am trying to grow my Shih Tzu and Yorkie's hair to the floor, and I do not want someone messing up their hair. I think the groomer and client should sign a contract on how to groom the dog so these types of incidents do not happen. |

				   | I'm so sorry you had a bad experience with PetSmart. I know others have posted that they also have had negative experiences. It must depend on the store. I've taken my pets there for years and never had any trouble. They always listen carefully to me and give me the cut I asked for. My babies have always been treated well whether I've stayed and waited or left and returned later. ![]() I hope you're able to find someone you like to do the grooming for you or learn it yourself. |

				   | Yea, we will never use Petsmart groomers again!!! They charge way too much money for the work they do. Sadie looked like a yorkie trying to be a schnauzer with a bad haircut...it was terrible and nothing like I has asked for. This was at both Petsmarts here...the girls that groomed her were very nice, they just were not good at grooming yorkies (or Sadie at least). |

) ..i SO agree with you. You get what you pay for, which is true in many cases! but then again.. MANY chain-type places charge about the same, sometimes more for a job that you "never know what you're going to get.." everyone has their own opinions with what they feel comfortable with, etc but i have never even wanted to take them to a petco, petsmart, etc. i've never gotten a good vibe with their groomings.. but that's just me!

				   | my two cents.....don't go back and pay for something you are INCREDIBLY unhappy with. We get the Petsmart cleints coming in all the time telling us how they hacked up their dogs and how horrible they look. Sometimes it takes some growing out and patience, but it can be fixed. Call around your local, privately owned groom shops. Also, make sure your groomer actually has a degree from a grooming school. You'll get a much better schooled groomer who actually knows what they're doing.

				   | No, you pay for what you want, not what they want. I went and got my hair colored, I told they lady exactly what I wanted. Two hours later UGGGG. I didn't pay her, she was like, no hon I didn't do what you asked for, so no. I've found that small home/business groomers are best. I went in and said excatly what i wanted, she knew, and bam, Best looking Yorkies in Town!!!

				   | Thanks for posting this. I will make sure I don't bring my lil lady to either one of them! Although, people around here are not the best with grooming either because they are quick to get the baby meds if they misbehave....and I am sorry but I would have to hurt someone. So, I don't know what I will do with my lil Bailey....I think I have some time before I have to find a groomer though.

So I suggest asking the groomer if they use scissors and if they plan on using them on the entire body. Good luck next time &I hope you find a better groomer. | |

				   | If I could, I would put petsmart out of business...that place is good for nothing but cheap cloths, cloths i can get at walmart anyways. their food choices stink..i always have probs with their groomers, and it just stinks in there. Petco all the way and even though im a dude i now groom my two yorkies myself and they look outstanding. Sorry for the ranting hehe but the place does stink. |
