$1500 + tax in CA. I am sure I over paid (got roxy from a pet store, i know i shouldnt have) but she is so cute my gf saw her and had to have her. I have no regrets and would do it over again. We looked at many yorkies, and when we found her it was obvious to us she was the one. She did have kennel cough soon after we got her, she was 3 months old at the time. Roxy is now 5 months old and just starting to get over the cough. At least the pet store has been covering all the vet bills, which have added up to over $1000 now.

Diva is the offspring of my brother's Yorkie. I paid $100 bucks to her breeder...a family discount. Can't beat it.

Hopefully this doesn't sound wrong. But it depends on the class of dog you are buying. You can't expect to pay for a quality, AKC champion blood lines, showdog less than $2000. | |

We paid $1700.00 for Bella, but then we live in NJ where it cost money to breathe . But she was worth it. She is such a little precious "sweet puff" . She brings such joy and happiness into our lives. Makes us laugh alot too. So much so that I want to get another little yorkie in late February or early March of next year in the NJ,NY,PA area. But this time I be looking for a breeder, not from a Pet Store. I have learned so much from this site and this is the most important .

I paid $450 for my baby with papers when he was 12 weeks old. I had been looking for a yorkie for a couple months but couldn't afford the prices of most (I'm an 18 year old college student). There was a flyer at a pet supply store that had the original price of $600 and said discounted so I called and the lady told me he was $450 because he was a little bit bigger. Needless to say.. I went to see him the next day and brought him home within the hour . He is a very healthy and happy boy!

How does it work when you purchase from someone far away? Do you pick the puppy out online from pictures? How do you know what the personality is going to be? Did you do some research on the breeder? I guess I would just be a little nervous trusting someone I had never met...

Hello everyone, Gucci was $700 with champion bloodline and the whole AKC paper thingy. He was a valentines gift from my ex bf (RIP). He's about 6lbs and 6 years old. I couldn't have asked for better. I originally wanted a girl but the breeder didn't have any left. Gucci's mom was artificially inseminated. The breeder had been breeding Yorkies and Maltese for 26 years! I flew from the Caribbean to Tampa then drove for about an hour to get to this breeder. All the puppies in the pen rushed to me and were all excited except for Gucci. He seemed unimpressed and like he couldn't be bothered. I should have known from then he was going to be a snob...LOL.
