| wow this thread has been going on for a while. Well we are military and I found our breeder through the squadron. My husband was supposed to deploy for Christmas and it would be my first Christmas without him, my boys (both are in the military now and my mom) So my husband told me i could get her to keep me company. So i got to pick her out. They have both the mom and dad. I got to pick her out at one week old, and went to visit her weekly then daily at the end. She knew who i was and always gave and still gives me kisses upon kisses. They sold princess to me for $750.00 with unlimited registration so i can breed her if i like. I want to breed her so i can give my niece a puppy and have another one. I dont want to do it for money. The people we bought her from sell them for quite a bit more then they sold her to me. But this was their second litter and they all lived and they sold three of the four. They thought she would be about 6lbs at the most but dad is 8lbs and mom is 5lbs. She is almost 10months and is 9.6lbs and hopefully done growing. She is so beautiful already turning gray and hair is sooooo long. She has really light hair on the top of her head I wish I could have hair highlights like that lol. It was love at first sight and I dont know what I would do without her, and I thank my husband every day. He turley loves her to. And thank god he didnt have to deploy. She loves her mommy and daddy more than anything. She even cries when we drop dad off at work in the mornins. So after reading this i see that $750 isnt bad. Her siblings sold for $1200-1400. |

| Curly Mac was given to my little 5 yr old son, Jack, for Christmas. We were visiting my momma down in Southern California and everyone was insisting that I let Jack have a pup. (he's wanted one for a long time) So, we went over to my sisters where she had a female who just had a litter and my sister told him to pick his out. He picked little Curly Mac, named her and told her momma he'd be back for her when she was big enough. Every week my sister emailed Jack pics of his Curly Mac and he was SO excited. The day my sister called and said, "come get your puppy!" I thought he'd never get to sleep! We got her the next day and you never saw a happier boy than Jack that day! So, for the cost of a tank of gas, my boy got his lil girl. |

| Yorkie Talker | We paid different prices for ours. The oldest, Bob, was $450. Our middle yorkie, Andy, was $700 and our youngest, Joe, was a special deal. They were asking $1000 for him but since the breeder knew I would take good care of him (he was so tiny) she sold him to us for $800. Joe was a surprise pup! His mom was suppose to be retired from breeding. Joe's dad jumped in her pen and the rest is history! They didn't know she was pregnant until little Joe just came out tiny as can be. He is extremely healthy now and just as loving as can be! He did take a lot of special care at first though. |

| i don't know how much charlie cost. He was a christmas gift from the husband. I hink he might be no more than $500. Husband got charlie from a coworker. He is a pure breed yorkie with all papers and first sets of shots. They took him to the vet the day before husband brought him home. I love charlie and husband so much. They are the two loves of my life. |

| CA$600 for my girl last summer from a local breeder. No papers. 4.5 months @4 lbs. She is now just under 6lbs at nearly a year old. Mom's supposedly registered, dad's an import from Argentina. They were both adorable at around 5 and 3.5 lbs respectively. First shots were administered by breeder and first vet visit was complimentary at breeder's referral. However, since I was getting her 2nd set of shots immediately, I don't think the "free vet check" really made much difference as some vets don't charge for visitation if it included something else getting done. Mine was one of two left in the litter of four and she was the bigger one (probably the biggest overall) and had a knicked/chipped ear. I made the pick by going with the one with the shortest face since they looked really similar otherwise. ![]() Not sure if it counts that I forfeit on my US$200 deposit on a little AKC full reg. girl in Oregon who was only several weeks old at the time. I had pick of litter at $1150 pre-deposit. Sending out and purchasing that bank cheque costed me a total of CA$250. So I wonder if that makes her $850 in the end? ![]() But overall, my yorkie hunt costed me MUCH more than that from repeatedly pulling money out getting ready to buy and next thing you know, it didn't turn out, someone else beat us to it, etc., and in my sadness and depression, I don't even know what I spent that cash on. |

| Gucci was $850 since he was a the smallest in the litter, but I got him for roughly around $650 after some trades with the seller were done (Football Jerseys he wanted 4 of them). He was very pleased to send him with us and I often text him to tell him how wonderful Gucci is and send him photos via email as well. The breeder is not from this state, I suppose I purchased him from more of a broker? (didn't know this until after the fact) he said he was selling them for a friend of his and to be honest I'm not too sure if she's a friend or business partner .. but I LOVE MY BABY and he did come vet checked, free of parasites, de-wormed, vaccinated & with a health guarantee so I can't complain. The guy we got him from was very nice with a clean and nice home as well. |

| We paid $650 for Wookie , but he unfortunately came from a place that was supplied by a puppy mill. (I didn't know much about them at the time, I am horrified that I contributed to that, but I wouldn't trade my baby boy for the world). When I was looking for yorkies from breeders in my area, I couldn't find one for under $1000. I just couldnt afford that and was thrilled to find him at that price.

| Penny came out of a rescue of an animal hording type situation. I donated $500 to help fund the medical care of the other animals involved, and paid some more out of pocket to get her medical needs taken care of.
