| Hmm, I really would like to sleep with my 2 in bed but I am too afraid they will get squished, or fall off the bed, its quite tall. For now they sleep in their crates right near my bed. I have brought Jazzie to bed with me for a nap, she acts sooo funny, she starts to lick my hand as if saying, thank you, mommy, thank you. Then she will stand on the edge of the bed and look at her crate as if... hmmm, so thats were I sleep. When I nap I have her wear her harness and leash, I lay on part of the leash so that she doesn't go too far. I know, I need to relax

| dogs Yorkies/dogs have "invaded" every aspect of my life for over 35 yrs...not just mine, but boarders, ones I groomed and rescues..they have been kissed on the lips, toes and noses..and many fat baby bellies...I can honestly say a dog has never made me sick a day in my life...people are full of germs and make me sick, but not dogs...! When I was a school bus helper, those walking germ factories had everything, including ringworm and lice...give me dogs any day...! |

| I'm with everyone else, dogs and cats are in bed with us. Funny story - 4 years ago we had a sharpei (50lbs) and 2 cats. We decided to get a keeshond puppy. As hubby and I aren't small people (I'm short and round, he's tall and not too big, but not skinny) with a 50lb dog, a 20+lb cat and a 15lb cat, we knew the bed was going to be a tight fit with another dog. So, instead of booting everyone from the bed (we would all crash into each in the night) we decided to get a king size bed. Who gets another dog and upgrades their bed?! lol The irony is until the day the kees died in October, he never once spent the night in bed with us. The sharpei was with us every night just about (unless either of us had a bad night kicking in our sleep) till she went to the bridge in November. Still glad we got the bigger bed though! lol Needless to say, SoCo the Yorkie has joined the mix with us and the cats. And if the hubby was ever stupid enough to try and tell me we won't all fit, I can assure you he'd be on the couch before my babies will be!! lol Tara |

| When my baby Gotti came home it was a scortching NYC summer. He was a mere 2 lbs. Back then ,I had bought 2 different kinds of beds and he also had access to a crate. I placed the beds by my bedside so that he can still be close at night.HOWEVER, HE WOULD NEVER SLEEP IN HIS BED. Because of the heat in NYC my AC was a must. I remember not getting any sleep because i would get up in the middle of the night and find my baby boy balled up in a corner of the Air Conditioned Rooma bit cold.. I hated it because as much as I tried to keep him warm and in his bed it wouldnt work, he just wouldnt sleep on teh beds. My Hubby (at the time) picked him right up one night and placed him in our bed. Fast fowarding 2 yrs...he has completely taken over, the bed, the pillows..the EVERYTHING!! I say " Bed time" and he will get right in bed with me. Its the best having his company at night as he gets under teh covers and claims a pillow and all. I dont mind much because as a single Yorkie mom, it gets lonely so cuddling at night with him is quite alright. HOWEVER, when i have company, my company is very uncomfy with Gotti sharing our bed! He shares the same sentiment about it being "unhealthy" and "un hygienic" as some others. Its really a problem when its bed time and i have to fight with both Gotti to get off and my company to just grow up and let it slide... I cant share my opinion because i am torn.... If anyone can offer some useful tips I will greatly appreciate it!

| Allow? Allow???? I'm lucky Tucker allows me to sleep in my own bed! He used to sleep in the crate at night, but then he hid under my bed a couple of times so that I couldn't get him out. From there, he has climbed into bed with me and he likes to sleep right in the middle. It's like trying to move a ton of bricks! I usually end up riding the edge of the bed all night. Sometimes it crosses my mind that he should probably be on the floor (like when my hubby takes him out for his walk before he leaves the house at 5 am) but I love to snuggle up against his warm belly.

How am I in contact with more "bacteria" when Ellie sleeps with me than when I pet her during the day? What is the difference?

| Lucy has slept with us from day one. It's one of the reasons I wanted a Yorkie - to cuddle! We love the way she wakes us up in the morning. It's all about Lucy If we move the covers during the night she sure let's us know she's there and not to squish her

Donating YT 14K Club Member | I have 2 that sleep with me at night. I don't allow the third because she'd be busy leaving presents all over the carpet during the night.

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | My babies sleep with us every single night and always have, except for when they were babies. I didn't allow them to sleep on the bed then because I was too afraid that they would fall off and hurt themselves, or either we would roll over on them and crush them because they were so tiny I just didn't want to risk anything. Now though, my babies and I both wouldn't have it any other way They would cry all night long if they weren't in bed with us
