| Bella sleeps with us and I love it! I agree---it is a personal preference. Do what you feel is best.

| Tessa sleeps with us under the covers every night Misty sheds too much so she has her own couch (full size)to sleep on in our room but she isn't allowed on the bed. I agree it is personal preference

| My pups gladly go to their bed in the kitchen cupboard (sans door) but are up at the crack of dawn leaping at the door, letting me know that it's time to get together. I let them out and they hurdle down the hall, barking and jumping. Then into bed. Sugar goes under the covers while Spice runs up and down my back snorting and then settles down at my feet. The neighbors haven't complained yet but my husband does growl on occasion. (when he lets them out). I'm really afraid of sleeping with them through the night as I might roll over or get them wrapped in the covers. |

| I got my Yorkie at 6 weeks old, he is now 4 months old and has never slept anyplace else at night. He never wet in the bed either. He wakes me up and I put him on his puppy pad until he goes and then he is back in bed with us. Over the last 3 nights, we had to be out of town and could not take him with us. Both my husband and I were very lost without him at night. I kept reaching out for him and would wake up when I did not feel him. As for bacteria and insects.......... our children had bacteria and we let them sleep with us. Personally, I think way to much is made about nothing. If a person claims that they got bacteria and insects from allowing their dog in bed with them, I think if you got the whole story, the dog was the least of the problem. |

Yorkie Yakker | Topaz comes to me @ 9:30 every nite and I know he wants to go to bed. He sleeps with me every nite and I wouldn't have it any other way. He wakes me up in the middle of the nite if he has to go potty so I take him out and he goes right back to our bed and goes back to sleep. He is like one of my children. |

| Libna, first of all welcome to yt. This is a great place to be. My little Murfee has slept with us since the first night we got him..4 years ago. I love to have him curl up next to me. I recently went to visit a friend and she has several yorkies so I snatched one of them to sleep with me while I was visiting her. Almost all of my dogs all my life have slept with me. When we got married almost 40 years ago, hubby said no dogs in bed!!! He lost!!!! and now he loves having Murfee in our bed.

| Our little Peanut always slept with us. We had a routine. We would say, "it's bedtime Peanut" and he would run and jump up on the bed. Then he would lay on top of the covers on my husband's legs. When hubby would start getting sleepy, he'd say, "son, daddy's going to sleep now" Peanut would stick his nose under the covers and root around until he got underneath them and get in the bend of my knee and fall asleep. Sometime during the night he would end up on top of the covers at our feet between us. I miss that so much. I knew he was clean and I wash my sheets often.

| Kissie allows us to share our bed with her hahahaha Kissie sleeps in our bed since she was a puppy. Her favorite spot is between our two pillows. My husband and i love to have her in our bed. When sometimes she prefers to have her privacy and goes to her bed, we missed her and call her to join us. |

| Sydney sleeps with us! My hubby actually will let her because she isn't as fiesty as the first yorkie we had. Syd will lay in one spot all night and I love knowing she's there. She lets me know every time one of the kids gets outta bed at night. |

| In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with letting your Yorkie sleep with you. My dog isn't a purebred, but a yorkie poodle mix. He has slept with me every night for almost 12 years. He likes to be close to me, and I love having him close to me. |
