![]() She's not teething, she's playing...if you watch a litter of puppies that's how they play with each other. You have to redirect her attention...firmly tell her no and replace your hand/finger with a toy. She will quickly learn what's appropriate and what's not.

| ![]() Sounds like she's just playing with you and not taking your 'no' seriously. I 'scruffed' Hoku twice and she stopped and now knows that when I say no I mean no ![]()

![]() i read somewhere that if you yelp (like their siblings would) and push down on their back (a sign of dominance) she should stop.. like someone said.. then replace your finger with a toy... with layla.. when she was a pup.. we would just yelp very loud... it would scare her and she would stop.. but it took a few months.. she was a chewer!

![]() I tried the pushing onto the back thing w/my little girl Lula and she freaked and bit.. my other two never did that. So I think it depends on the dog.. because I was definitely surprised. Every time they bite, yelp or say no then walk away and ignore them. This has always worked for me.. they want your attention to play and if you don't give it to them.. they'll eventually stop. Good luck!

![]() I never reprimand my Yorkies in any physical way. I stop the attention if they do something I don't like. When puppies are little you can simply replace the finger with a toy and try to train them that playtime chewing is for toys only. You don't want to make them afraid of you or timid. Be firm but be gentle.
