I tried the pushing onto the back thing w/my little girl Lula and she freaked and bit.. my other two never did that. So I think it depends on the dog.. because I was definitely surprised.

Every time they bite, yelp or say no then walk away and ignore them. This has always worked for me.. they want your attention to play and if you don't give it to them.. they'll eventually stop.
