That's the only way I have gotten mine housetrained....even when Ramsey didn't act like she had to potty....we went outside. She is better at home than at work...so we still go outside frequently here. Good luck ~~ Btw, Ramsey loves water...the rain doesn't phase her. Thunder is a problem though.

| We are struggling with this now it is winter in NZ. We don't like getting wet! Either Holly sqats just outside the door on the deck,or I run her along the garden to a little path and she goes there. We try to take advantage of dryer periods too! I do still find the odd puddle, when it is raining, unless I am there,as I am better at insisting she goes out than my son! I will have to buy a golf umbrella!Keeping the grass short also helps! lol

| Hi, our family recently adopted a 5yr old Male Yorkie. The previous owner has a 2yr old and a 3mth old, no longer could give the desired attention. She said that he is potty trained, but...... needless to say today I steam cleaned out rugs and kids room carpets. Im a stay at home mom, so he goes out into the backyard frequently, and I see him going pee/poop. But never fails, about 10 minutes after comming inside I'll find pee on the hardwood floor by the back sliding door .Help please, any advise will be greatly appreciated. |

plus I don't have the luxury of being a stay home mom . . . so the pad has worked well for me. Now that it is spring and warm, he does both! When I take him out, he goes . . . and when he needs to go and I can't take him out, he goes to the pad.Although oftentimes Tiger aims really bad, it is cleaned up right away with some petenzyme so the smell won't linger. His poop and pee pads are always disposed in a diaper bag so the smell is contained I also clean his feet and private parts every single time he goes - indoor or otherwise!I never let Tiger roam free in the house without a belly band. Of course, there are rare accidents (poop) but thank goodness it is always dry so easy to clean up. He mostly spends his time in the laundry room and that has tiled flooring. It definitely stinks if you are a messy person but since I am NOT and my husband is ANAL about cleanliness . . . I don't have that stinky smell . . . if you are a visitor, you would't even know I have a dog. | |

| Gidget would always go in the rain but she would go fast, she still had accidents in the house if you got busy doing something and weren't paying attention. She obviously couldn't hold hers as well. She did pretty good though. Boy do I miss her. Now I have a little one and trying to train from the beginning. Never had a puppy. I got Gidget when she was about a year old and was use to being outside. |

| Are you kidding...I love when it rains. Reagan runs out, goes really quick then shoots back in as fast as possible. No standing around while she is smelling the wind, what are they smelling anyway? Generally I don't smell anything great. Although one time she was not having it, she didn't want to go out in the rain, so what does she do? She looks at me standing inside all nice and dry and goes right on the porch. Oh well I guess I probably would've done the same thing and i just took a pitcher of water and dumped on it so no big deal. Quote:
