(Of course, there's always the "go potty" command if I'm feeling impatient. ) I just have to keep towels by the door to dry her off before she touches the carpet!

I've always had dogs (as a kid we had schnauzers), and I could never imagine NOT training them to go outside. Don't even begin with newspapers or potty pads with a pup...it's outside from the very start.

Therefore, I'm amazed (in a good way) by those of you who've trained your dogs to go inside...never met anyone firsthand, or been to anyones home that does that...what are the advantages? Disadvantages? And seriously, my cat's littler box needs cleaned daily...and most dog owners don't use litter. What about odor?
I agree...I'm not sure I could handle the smell. Chance had an accident in the house the other day. It was actually quite funny. He was running and playing and then oops..poo. He did not even sniff around just squat and went. It smelled so bad ...I don't think I could do the indoor stuff.
