| Neighbors dogs TRESPASSING in my yard!! Hi, I need some advice besides my own solutions at the moment. I'm an owner of a year and 5 month old yorkie, his name is Harry :] I love him so much, so much I am getting to the point where I cannot avoid the current situation that I have with my neighbors. My neighbors have two black mutts that love to defecate, roam, and bring trash into my yard. Yes, they have a fence and so do we. They are so desperate that they have dug holes underneath our fences to escape and jump on limbs to climb over. I am tired of this! :-\ I do not know if there dogs are vaccinated or anything and they defecate everywhere. My Harry Bug(yorkie) ran into some feces and it scared the living day light out of me because it had some spots in the feces. Which could be some sort of worm parasite. My BF and I have spoken to our neighbors and they said that they will return the dogs back to the people that they bought them from...that was two months ago. I contacted the animal control of our city and they said they will send someone to address the issue. To top it off, my BF set up rope traps but the dogs find there way around them. I got footage of the dogs digging and crawling underneath our fence and jumping over. I hope this will help me in the future. Those dogs deserve better but I'm more interested in thr well being of my baby. I spent and spend a lot of time training and vaccinating my baby..they should too. If not..they need to render there rights and give em away. |

| I can see why you'd be annoyed. Have you tried talking to them about it? I find people are sometimes genuinely surprised when they are asked about their actions which are causing distress. They honestly, sometimes, are not aware. Apart from speaking to them, I'm not sure what to advise since you've already contacted animal control. If they can't do anything, they may be able to advise you of your local civil rights?? I find it disrespectful of dog and cat owners to allow their animals to roam with no regard to property boundaries etc. Like you say, we can't just take it for granted that every animal is vaccinated. |

| I would keep reporting them to animal control if speaking to them has done nothing, you are doing all for your yorkie , why should he be put at risk because of neighbors dis-concern. I would be vigilant on this. Are you in a community where they have managers, if yes, report them to committee. Call. call, call and report.

| Hi, right now there is an animal patrol officer outside. He went to the neighbors house to talk about the issue. The officer said that the owner said he doesn't want them and that he's tired of fixing the fence..wtc!!! THAT is crazy..so the patrol officer set out a cage trap right now but the dogs are reluctant and smart..they aren't going through. BTW last night there were dogs raising he**. I took my Harry Bug out to potty and there behind my house was a dead chihuahua. ;((( i told the officer and he cleaned em up Last edited by HarrysMommy; 11-04-2014 at 07:27 AM. |

| Idk if we have a city manager but I emailed the executive of the humane society and that is who responded to me about sending an patrol officer out. As of right now the officer is outside trying to catch the dogs in the cage trap. I just hope he doesn't give up because its his job and its only right if he does take those dogs away. I felt so sad when I saw that dead chihuahua. Idk if the neighbors dogs did it because they all hung out together. There are two pit bulls out but I'm not gonna assume that they did it either because any dog can become aggressive and want to attack :-\ |

| Do you know if animal patrol is a no kill shelter. Glad this will be over for you, just hoping the dogs are taken to a no kill shelter.

| If he left the traps there, he will hopefully be back to check the traps to see if the dogs went inside. I would tempt the dogs with some tasty meat trreat....poor little Chihuahua....that waqs someones little baby and they probably dont know yet.....let them keep hoping their baby is maybe safe with someone.......leave them a little hope..... |

| Oh ok. He did put bologna in there but the dogs ate it somehow without going all the way into the trap. I cried a little when I seen that dog dead. I do not like seeing dead things. He was just alive yesterday..because he and the neighbors dogs were in my yard yapping. |

| They were pretty big but the dog finally went inside and got trapped. Its too much stuff to do but its worth it. My BF just reminded me about the pit bulls because he said he checked the chihuahua's body an it had gashes on his stomach, as if it was manged and shook. He saw the Pitt pee on our post as well. Now I have to tell the patrol officer about that. |

| Poor little Chihuahua, poor owners, I think the owners should be told, IMHO I think it is better they know about thier dog, rather then them keeping their hopes up. As much as I would be devastated to find that my dog was killed by another dog, I would be at peace knowing he was not staving someplace or being abused. So very tragic. I am happy to know animal control is a ne kill, I hope these dogs find a loving, caring family.

| I did post a message in our local north ga animal site on Facebook. I HOPE that the person was looking for the dog instead of leaving it out in the neighborhood to rid of him. I want to get more involved in animal shelters and learn about what they offer and how I can help. |
