| Hmmm....? Reposting because I think it's in the wrong section. Ok, so I don't know if I should be complaining or not but... Reign will not go "pee-pee" or "potty" on his pads. This has been going on for a couple of months and I don't know whether I should give up and accept it. He does not pee or poo inside the house. He ONLY wants to go outside. Which is good, but if it's raining or late he will hold it instead of using his pads! This is crazy, like I'm trying to bribe him with treats to make him go. He's looking at me like, you know what to do, take me outside. I guess if I left him and he HAD to go he would go on the pad. I don't know... anyone else have this issue or suggestions? Maybe it's not a big deal

| Seriously, anyone have any suggestions? He can't hold his pee like that when he won't go out in the rain. In general I don't think it's healthy for him to do that and worried he might get a UTI or something. I can't be the only one who has experienced this.

| He obviously has a preference for outdoor pottying. Does he have free reign in the house while you're gone? Or at least access to the door that you let him out of to go potty outside? If so, I would just put a potty pad right by the door, so that if you are gone from home & he really needs to go, he'd go there. Some dogs just don't like to soil their home.

YT 2000 Club Member | If he prefers to go outside, rain or shine, you might have to just buck it up and take him out! If you have a covered area or use an umbrella to protect him from the rain. There are raincoats but most don't like them because they are really stiff and uncomfortable. I agree that is isn't good to try and hold it for so long as he might begin to get UTI's! I have one pad and outside trained, but she goes on the pad if not let out.

| I think if he had to go bad enough, he'd go. Personally, I would be doing happy dances

| Thank you all for your responses. I know it may sound crazy to have such a complaint. I am going back to work soon and I'm worrying about him. I've been with him just about 24-7 since I got him. I was thinking about putting him in daycare, but when I went it smelled bad and I realized he would be isolated most of the day, broken up by two 1hr play sessions. I just don't feel that it's worth it.
