| Stubborn Mya... It's a long note I swear it seems like she's testing my patience sometimes. Lol. The guy at Petsmart said. She's too young for that. I think not. She does things that she knows she's not suppose to. She gets warnings so she knows. I'm positive she understands when no means no. She even gets time outs and punishments but she does the same things again. She sneak and get into things she's not suppose to. I call it sneaking because it only happens when I'm not paying attention to her. She keeps taking her puppy pad out of the restroom... she bites at the closing lids on her kennel, she has bitten through three cords: cellphone charger, playstation 3 plug, and my 800 dollar Cannon camera usb cord . She bit off the case on my husband's ipod touch. I caught her walking on top of my laptop (twice), she chewed and destroyed two headphones to my daughter's and my sister's mp3 players. Don't dare leave boxes around because she bites through them as if it's food. I'm constantly having to pull something from her that she's not suppose to have. What's even worse is her newest victim... my carpet! She's found a spot to dig up carpet. I should have taken a picture to show the vet. She still has small baby teeth. All of her teeth not even in. What on earth is wrong with her? My husband said she needs a backyard. That's impossible right now. We live in an apartment. I don't even trust to leave her too long out of my eyesight because once it took us 20 minutes to find her inside the apartment. She had crawled under my side dresser. I don't know how she got there. There isnt much room there. But that happened one time a while back so I had to close access to under my bed with homemade boxes I cut up so that I can keep her from going under my bed... since that's how she got to my dresser in the first place. Well... she's been biting at the box. I was thinking that maybe she wants more attention..? but when I try to play with her or hold her she nibbles on my fingers and never sits still while I'm holding her for longer than 2 minutes. It's crazy sometimes but I love my baby. I rarely go anywhere without her. She whines and barks when she knows I'm about to leave. She follows me wherever I go (more than half of the time)... even when I'm about to shower. Smh... Pleeeeeease tell me what to do. This is my first pet in my adult life. So I'm still learning. |

| Mya is young and also very smart! Just try to keep things picked up so she can't get to them. She is learning and everything is like an adventure to her. She'll learn what's acceptable and what's not. Just be patient and consistant in and use positive reinforcement when she listens. Good Luck! |

| She is a puppy! I think walks will certainly help and "baby proof" your home. One of my first yorkies was just like yours, lasted about two years. Each pup is different. The two biewers I have now, have never gotten into anything at all. Be patient with her. They are puppies for such a short time. Enjoy her. And she really probably doesn't know the difference between right and wrong. Good luck!

| Is she fully vaccinated ? if yes then she needs to be walked daily possibly 2 or 3 times. Also she should not be allowed full run of the house when she can't be monitored at ALL times. She is a puppy just like a toddler they need constant supervision & she needs lots of toys that are safe to chew on as she is teething & NEEDS to be able to chew. When you take away something she is NoT allowed to have you need to put it Out of her reach & give her a chew toy that she is allowed to have. An x-pen is a wonderful thing for puppies as it keeps puppy safe as well as your belongings. |

Max Main's Mamma Donating YT Member | All great advice from fellow YTers!! She is still very young and my 6 month old (almost) was the same way. He was crate trained and is doing really well. I still watch his every move when he is out of the crate. Every time he chews on something he is not supposed to, I tell hime "no!) and give hime something (bully stick or toy). Good luck and don't get frustrated. I am sure you will get some excellent ideas from posting this thread that will help!

Yes, she is fully vaccinated. She does run around but it's when I'm looking. She starts running out of nowhere. I mean she would just be playing and just up and takes off. Once she bumped into something. She has lots of toys. I put them out for her every morning. She plays a lot with her toys. I put them away at night. She's in my bedroom mostly because my daughter tends to leave her door open and it's definitely not safe in there. I do have a child-proof gate up to keep her from wondering around unattended. Most of the damage she's done has been in my bedroom. My husband gets home from work and just tosses his things to the floor on his side of the bed. He swears that his phone or lighter or ipod etc is in his pocket. I guess she's going into his pocket and pulling things out. Not to mention she did chew up his bank card. When she bit through my camera usb cord, she was in the bed with my husband. He wasn't even paying attention to her. I arrived home to see the evidence of her destruction. The problem it seems is that she has done most the damage early in the morning. I normally don't get up until it's time to take my daughter to school. I do get up to take her to restroom once or twice for peepee but I'm not really up until after 8. Now, my alarm goes off at 6:30am. She has gotten used to it, so when it goes off, I know she's already up. I try but can't stay awake before 8. So I put her in what I believed to be a safe area in the room with safe toys because she barks when I don't let her down when that alarm goes off. She sleeps where she can't get out without help. I had her in the kennel before at night without closing it but that didn't work. I think it might be that I need to take her out more. I feel guilty sometimes because a couple of times she looked bored. I was just worried about her catching something out there.

| Having a young yorkie is like having a 2yr toddler in your house. When Mina was doing all of these things I put her harness on her and attached her leash to my belt loop, held her in my arms and kept her in the expen on a tile floor. I also told the other people that I live with "If you value your things, dont leave them in the floor, you are the big human and she is the tiny puppy baby". They cannt get angry that she chewed up something if they left it in the floor. I still walk my house 4 or 5 times a day and just pick up little stuff. Mina also wears a collar with a bell. I do not use this for her leash,it could damage her throat. I make it my business to know where each of our dogs are at all times. If I leave the den and go to my room, everybody goes with me. If I move to the sewing room, everybody goes with me. If I am watching tv,noone is allowed to leave the den. I did the same thing with my children when they were really small. |

| At her age & no training & puppy attitude, she should Never be allowed to run free out doors outside of a safe fenced yard without her harness & leash at ALL times. Most cities have a leash law in place for a very good reason. |

She has a bell on her but not everyday. I watched her this time when the alarm went off to get my daughter up for school. She didn't find anything but she was trying to destroy the lid on her kennel again. She stopped when she heard me telling her no. I've been checking for things she could get into. Lately, it's been my husband things she was getting into. I have to go behind him and pick up his important stuff from his side of the bed. On one of his work shift days, he gets in from work at 11pm after 15 hour shift and just crashes. I'm normally asleep by that time. As well Mya. So now when she play early in the morning I remove anything he could have left on the floor before I let her down with her toys.

| I am aware of leash law for dogs but I honestly did not think it applied to small puppies. I see puppies all the time without the leash so I thought it was ok. They can't even run around in your own fenced backard without at leash??? Wow. I swear I never even heard of that one. Mya is my first pet. So I admit I don't know that much about dogs but I have been doing research since I got Mya. I'm still learning. |

| You dog must be leashed if not in a fenced in area. If you are in your front yard she must be leashed,if you are in public she must me leashed. By the way,my very first dogs name was Mya and she was the light of my life for 13 yrs. She was a 2 lb poodle. |
