I hope so. What could be more important than his daughter's happiness and well being ?

You really need assistance from child protective social services or a pastor, couselor, some adult who can sit your parents down and set them straight if you are being abused.

I have some bad news. Luke peed on the floor today. But, I got to him first! My mom was on the phone upstairs, so I showed him what he did with a few, "No, bad dogs" and sent him on his way. Luke looked really guilty though, so I felt bad when When my mom came downstairs, she got him too, but she only hit him twice, then crated him. Not even close to what she did on that one night, and even though she hit him, I was still relieved.

My mom is convinced it is marking, and is planning on getting him neutered later on, after our female dog gets pregnant. I'm starting to think it's marking too, but I can't ignore the possibility of a UTI. My mom said that if I use my allowance money, we can take him to the vet to get checked, but only after we come back from Vegas.

If it's an unneutered dog, it's probably marking, and if you wait to long to neuter marking becomes firmly established. A neutered dogs urine isn't so strong though. Joey has been neutered, but he still like to mark on walks, I think it also cuts down on the urge to mark in the house. You might try taking your dog for regular walks, and as someone mentioned belly bands work great for when in the house. Best of luck!

The longer you wait, the harder it will be to break him of that habit. If he is allowed to mate, it will be even harder still. Your mom isn't doing herself any favors by breeding. She thinks having one boy is stressful? How about a whole litter of pups, who WILL pee and poop everywhere. I know you have no say, as these are your moms dogs, but you should know, that's a bad idea all around.

Danni, I want to pipe in here with my 2 cents worth. I know you have had a lot of advice but like everyone else here I am worried about your situation. My mother was abusive, just with me not my little brother or sister. She was also very abusive and cold with any pets we ever had. I have some quite horrid memories of pets dying at her hands. Please don't let this go on too long. It will only get worse and stay with you forever. I am glad that you feel comfortable coming in here and telling us and listening to our advice. It is a very good thing to have others to talk to. But you definitly need somone you can physically talk to and who can help with intervention in yours and your dogs situation. I will keep you in my thoughts. Feel free to contact me by pm at any time.

I'm just sitting here thinking no, no, no, no, no! You have said that this is her dog and yet she's making you scrounge up allowance money to get him checked by a vet. She beats these small dogs for minor accidents and then thinks herself capable of handling puppies? Doesn't she know that marking is a hard habit to break the longer it's allowed to continue? These are not good signs at all. Not only do I worry about the dogs, but I worry about what might happen to you if your mother should ever lose her so-called "control." I also want to say that abuse isn't only physical... it can also be emotional and psychological. You said your father has a lot on his plate... maybe there's someone else you can talk to?

Danni are you being honest with us because with each post your situation seems harder to believe. We are a very caring group and I hope you arent taking advantage of that caring. If your mom has hit you in the past whether or not it has left a bruise you need to make your dad aware. Your Mom shouldnt be breeding dogs and I dont think I have to tell you that for you to be aware of it. Yes Luke is marking and it will get worse if he is bred.

Another option is to talk to a school counselor. Most of them have already reported back to school. Teachers will be back soon as well. If this is really going on you need to talk to someone.

OP, I agree with the previous posts. YOU must take action and seek help from someone who can actually help you and Luke. There is only so much an online forum group can do in your situtaion. You have beend advised to get help from someone who can actually step in and help you and Luke, and that is the only option you have if you want to resolve you problem. If you feel you dad can't help, go to someone else, and keep telling until somone helps you.
I will pray for your strength and guidance to do what needs to be done.

I can't help but wonder how clean your mom thinks a litter of puppies will be.

I honestly hope that this is a hoax. (even though I believed it) I can't stand the thought of the poor dog and the girl being abused.....at least the girl has options to get some help, the poor dog is defenseless! It really stinks that we have to be helpless to either put an end to the hoax; or get some help for these victims!!!!

I'm thinking I would sleep better at night if I walked away.
