Puppies sold in pet stores are uswually taken fom their mothers around 6 weeks of age, so they have not learned how to play nice, or how to be submissive. So now you have the job of teaching him.

| I don't think vets see that as a real danger. My vet says once they have had their 3rd set of shots they are good to go. Refabvies is not something they will catch just by taking a walk. they have to come in contact with a rabid animal. And I realize that could happen, but it is not too likely. |

How old is she? I've done this with every one of my dogs, and every one has let me do it ranging in age from 6 months to 5 years old. And also the 6 week old puppies.

| Ah! The joys of puppyhood! How is Theodore doing today? When you get your bully sticks, he should be in doggie heaven. When mine were puppies, I gave them just plain old raw baby carrots. They weren't frozen. They just loved a couple of them.

I hope so! I tried giving him carrots too, he doesn't care much for them! As of right now I'm having a hard time distinguishing between him crying because he wants attention or if he's crying because he is bored/not enough exercise. I take him for a walk before breakfast (only about 15 mins because it's really cold outside and he's freezing) and then I take him on another longer walk prior to lunch time (so around 40 minutes). I've taken him running at the park (by running I mean he sprints and stops ...lol) and then whenever he goes to the bathroom I take him out of his crate and play indoors with him for about 30 mins. What do you think? Is he still bored or is he just being a baby not wanting to be in his crate?

Also, I would get some special tiny treats just for training or use cheerios.

I would suggest getting a Dog whisperer DVD or book, if you cannot afford a trainer.
