| Here's a article you should READ. Please keep in mind that this is what this breeder sends home with her puppy's new owners. I'm just posting it here for you to get some idea of what you have to look forward to. BTW - if you look on the top of the main page you will see an area that says YT Library. I suggest you read all the articles in there. It has a lot of helpful information. I would like to add that I am very much against you getting this puppy at this age and hope that this doesn't actually occur, but if it does, then I do want you to have the information you need to take proper care of it - for it's sake. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yorkietalk-yorkshire-terrier-library/135130-yorkie-puppy-care-guide-new-parents.html

| I just can't beleive this. Its bad enough that the puppy is leaving the breeder at 6 weeks, let alone be put on an aeroplane. Why does the 'breeder' and I use the word lightly, let the puppies go at 6 weeks? So the mother of the pups has died but what about the pup that went to the OP friend, why did that one go at 6weeks? Alfie was 10weeks and it was hard work and I am home all day. for the first 2 months I didn't even go out. I had to wait for hubby or son to be here just so that I could go food shopping. I just wasn't happy to leave him and he wasn't happy to be left. The OP has been advised that the breeder will be breaking the law by selling a puppy that early. NatNat, why are you afraid to tell the breeder that you can't take the puppy until it is older? Its her problem that she has booked the flight. As for potty/pad training the puppy, I doubt the poor little mite will be around long enough for you to worry about that. Leaving it for 9hrs? I wouldn't leave my fully grown German Shepherd for that long. Why not wait until your hubby is home and get an older puppy and do everything the right way. Then you will have many many years of fun and love with a furbaby. I'm not having a go at you I just think it will end in heartache for you and the puppy.

| I really got a feeling that there's more going on here that's not being mentioned!! Correct me if I am wrong, but don't a good breeder have only the best intrest of a puppy at heart??!! And, who better to look after the babies after the mommy passes away than the breeder??!! I know the last thing I would want to do is to be shipping the little thing off on a big scary plane!!!The way I am......lol I would keep every puppy for myself as a reminder of it's mommy....but that's just me.....! I don't get it......with so many people here giving advice based on experience.....I mean everyone here can't be wrong....and the one person right! There are so many things here saying that something isn't being told!!! Why is this person letting the so-called breeder call all the shots....?? If natnat is the one buying the dog...she should put her foot down and say that she refuses to accept this dog until she is comfortable with this situation.....just having to leave him alone all day, every day would be enough for me to avoid getting a puppy yet!!! I dunno.....something isn't all right with this....it's soooo sad!!

| No one is saying you are horrible, that is your interpretation. Your decision making in this situation is, however, highly flawed which is something that is being pointed out. There have been many helpful responses if you choose to read them with an objective and open mind Any flight can be postponed / rescheduled so that is not a valid statement |
