Why does the 'breeder' and I use the word lightly, let the puppies go at 6 weeks? So the mother of the pups has died but what about the pup that went to the OP friend, why did that one go at 6weeks?

Alfie was 10weeks and it was hard work and I am home all day. for the first 2 months I didn't even go out. I had to wait for hubby or son to be here just so that I could go food shopping. I just wasn't happy to leave him and he wasn't happy to be left.

The OP has been advised that the breeder will be breaking the law by selling a puppy that early.

NatNat, why are you afraid to tell the breeder that you can't take the puppy until it is older? Its her problem that she has booked the flight. As for potty/pad training the puppy, I doubt the poor little mite will be around long enough for you to worry about that.

Leaving it for 9hrs? I wouldn't leave my fully grown German Shepherd for that long.

Why not wait until your hubby is home and get an older puppy and do everything the right way. Then you will have many many years of fun and love with a furbaby.

I'm not having a go at you I just think it will end in heartache for you and the puppy.
WELL SAID!!!
