My Baby Sonny is 21 weeks old and he does not seem to hear the bark repeller.. He has absolutely NO response to it at all. Now that worried me at first because I was imagining that he may have a hearing problem.. But after talking to my SIL.. who has five 17 week old chihuahuas.. she got one as well and said her other dogs all respond to it, but the puppies do NOT. So I am thinking that they must not be old enough to hear the frequencies of the Bark Repeller yet.. Too bad cause SONNY is a mouthy little guy!!
That's great!! I hope, hope, hope it works on my guys (& the neighbors, too).

Wow, I didn't realize puppies grew in to their hearing. I learn something new on here everyday. Fortunately, my big barker is 2 so this should work on her.

Still loving mine too! As a matter of fact I just ordered one for my mom. I will let you know how it works on 2 Dobermans~they are great dogs but when my sister and BIL are at work they make my mom crazy. The younger one like to look out the window and bark at cars

Well it gets Kobe's attention, but he still barks even after I use it. Not 100% happy with my results. But I think as Kobe matures he will not be so protective of his home. Just yesterday my neighbor was working in his backyard and Kobe was outside and just would not stop barking. So i took him over to meet him, and Kobe actually was afraid slowing approaching him to sniff. SO I am hoping the next time he is out in his yard Kobe will think nothing of it. If this works then I will have to take him to my other neighbor who has a dog that kobe barks at.

I still love mine and bought 2 so I could have one upstairs and one downstairs. My only problem is that my 15 yr. old Schnauzer is deaf and can't hear it, and he's the big barking instigator in my house. He can't even hear how loud he is.

The 4 girls all are SOOOO much better about not barking as much. They usually now stop when I just say "quiet", and definitely stop when I do have to resort to the repeller.

My daughter is still amazed at how well it works on dogs roaming off leash that come up to her fence and bark at her dog. Two of the worst ones won't even come near her fence anymore.

I'm really getting excited to try it out, now. It sounds like it's exactly what I need.

So many people have been amazed seeing it work at my house... they are all buying them. My poor old deaf Schnauzer Niko needs a hearing aid so it will work for him, haha. It kinda spoils the effect to have the 4 girls go right into quiet mode, and he just keeps on barking.

My daughter is so pleased with it. We are babysitting Cole for her this week and we can tell a Huge difference. He doesn't bark as often & if we speak to him to quiet down, he listens now. He also use to bark at the television when certain things came on, especially animals, animation etc. He does Not do that now. awwwwwwww, what a relief! We didn't even bring the bark repeller to our house while babysitting so he has shown a HUGE improvement!

Default Didn't work on Lennie...

I was finally able to order a Pet Parade Dog/Bark Repeller. I tried it out this weekend, over a 2-day period. My little Morkie didn't seem to notice any unusual noise at all. He just kept on barking. I'm returning it today (hope I get my $$ back!).

Anyone have any other suggestions on products? It would really help if I could get something in Canada.

Many thanks!
Judy

Judy, can I ask how old your pet is?? I found that my 21 week old puppy does not hear it but all of the other dogs do. My SIL also says her 17 week old puppies do not hear it but her older dogs do. My guess is their hearing isn't developed enough yet to hear the high pitch. I would give it a little time'

Hi Sunnie

Lennie is 4 1/2 years old. It could be that he is barking soooo LOUD that he can't hear it! lol

I just ordered another one through sunteksolutions.ca It is shipped from China... Cost is $11.05 - no shipping charges - I will let you know how it turns out!!!!

good luck and I can't wait to hear how it works for you. I would imagine that there are some dogs that do not hear it at all and probably some that really don't care about the noise. I know that mine that HEAR it.. hate it. they duck their heads and turn the other way and leave the room

Question

Is this device still working for you that have it?? I am having a barking problem in my home and am thinking of getting it. I just don't want to hurt my babies. Sounds pretty safe, I think my local Meijer carries it. I hope it's the same brand, they have Bark Off but I saw the poor reviews for that one so hopefully they have the Bark Repeller.

Thanks-
Viv

It's still working, but don't overuse it, you don't want them to get use to the sound. I found just showing it to him is enough. I have heard better luck with the actual Bark Repeller than other brands. The goal isn't to stop barking, it's so that they will obey your command to stop, you can also reinforce this by giving them a treat for obeying.
