Better to put pee pad in tray or litter box?

That is exactly what I found with Crystal, she needed room to do her little spin around. I tried the tray idea but I like Nancy had my yorkie sleeping in itsooooo I got a flannel backed plastic table cloth and cut it in about 6 to 8 large pieces and it worked fine. Of course I had to confine her a while and praise her for doing it right but it didn't take long. Also if you rub her own urine on it before you put it down a few times it helps alot. Good Luck.

I use the litterbox with a washable pad in it. The nice thing about the litterbox, it teaches them they have to get into it to use it. Different from just a pad on the floor, which could be mistaken for carpet I started AprilLove in the litterboix from the first day home and the two younger ones also, now they all use it, and in addition to a pet potty.

LOL thats exaclty what my Toby does when he is about to go pooing or peeing, move around go in circles untill he finds the perfect spot but sometimes that ends to be inches away from the pad!
